    Awesome bloody awesome!

It was totally awesome overall. The music was good (the tight rhythm section of Larry and Adam, and the great guitar work of The Edge), but Bono's performance style stole the show. The only main problems were: Too many camera cuts, too many crowd shots, having multiple cameras with different frame rates, and also the band playing most of their greatest hits in different keys so they sound like crap. Surprisingly, The Edge was quoted backstage: "I hope we don't sound like crap."

All that they can't leave behind was their visual shows ! (DVD)

Music is the language of feelings, and for me, U2 embodies the best of humanity: Love, Peace, Compassion. Their songs, friendship, dedication are as much proof of this evidence. Who can't be moved by such integrity ?

With this tour, they come back to simplicity: no big screen, no pop extravaganza… It's a pity: they were the only ones to deliver this package and it was as much fun as it was truth.

About the music, I am disappointed to hear always the same classic on their DVD, even if all the "unplugged" songs are great: "Wake up", "Desire", "Staring at the sun", "Angel of Harlem"...

But as long as I have those goose bumps: Thanks U2 for giving me such primal feelings!

In bonus, you got a making-of about the song "Pride" 23 years ago at Slane Castle... Even after 3 big records, the band stayed simple (look at their clothes) and their only drive was music not money!!!!

    Slane hits the mark

The thing that makes the Slane Castle DVD exceptional is the sound quality. It's outstanding for a live show and the best I've heard on a concert DVD. For financial reasons I had to decide between the Slane Castle and the Live in Boston DVDs. I felt that the Slane DVD would be the better bet because I figured U2 would give their all doing a concert in their native country at a venue that had special meaning to them. Later on I was able to see the Live in Boston DVD and although I felt that it was very good in its own right and probably had better features, I felt overall the Slane DVD was better. The Slane DVD is superior because they just did a better job on the songs. There are a few songs on the Slane DVD that I actually like more than the original studio versions. They are: 'Out of Control'; 'Kite'; 'All I Want Is You'; and 'Bullet The Blue Sky'. Truly outstanding. I hate to use the word "beautiful" but the Edge's guitar-playing in 'With Or Without You' is exactly that. He's truly at his melodic best in that number.

U2: Go Home is a great concert DVD and a must for anyone who digs U2.

    Ohh wow

I wasn't a big u2 fan...I didn't know much about them..but I heard some of their songs and I decided to pick up this DVD after seeing it in the store...Since then I am a complete fanatic...this concert is amazing...If u like u2 or not...watch this...they kick it off nicely with elevation and really rock the crowd...U get goosebumps listening to Sunday bloody Sunday because u can tell the passion the band members have for it...and they end it all with walk on which was also glorious...I wish every day I was at this concert...also check out vertigo in Chicago...another great DVD..Apparently I need to write more...Kite is a very emotional track...people who have seen this...there is a close up on the edge during the song...if u look at his face u can see he is feeling bonos pain due to the loss of his father...u2 rocks....

Astounding concert footage aimed at the hairs on your neck

This concert from Slane Castle in Ireland filmed in 2001 is absolutely amazing. U2 really are one of the greatest bands on the planet.

The scale of the gig is unbelievable, but the performance from the band is astounding. Just seeing them rip into 'Elevation' turns the stomach.

Bono is a fantastic front-man, with songs 'Beautiful Day' and 'Sunday Bloody Sunday' sung with great passion from the Irish singer. On 'Kite' he is almost drawn to tears singing about his recently deceased father. A very moving moment indeed.

'All I Want Is You' is fantastically submerged into 'Where The Streets Have No Name', and 'One' is as beautifully melodic as ever.

Clearly one of the best bands around, check out the 'U2 Go Home' DvD out now also.

Standout tracks: 'New Years Day', 'Angel Of Harlem', 'Where The Streets Have No Name' and 'One'.
