    Boring lesbian vampire tedium

An Erotic Vampire in Paris is one of the earlier films from Seduction Cinema and it's one of the worst. Anyone that has seen more than a few of these films will no doubt go into them with low expectations; I always do, and yet every now and again I am surprised. As Seduction Cinema went on, the writers/directors obviously came to realise that they could make their films more entertaining by adding some humour; and indeed, it's the jokes that make me like most of the Seduction Cinema films that I actually like. This one is carried off with little in the way of entertainment. As the title suggests; its set in Paris, and as the cast list would suggest; lesbian sex is the main course of the day, and there's a side-order of vampirism. It's all very, very dull. Basically the film is made up of soft-core lesbian sex scenes which quickly become tiresome. Making lesbian sex boring is no mean feat, but director Donald Farmer was more the equal to the task. There's honestly no point to the film and I wont be surprised to find that I wasn't the only one with an itchy fast forward finger. Whether you're a fan of this stuff or not, you can feel free to skip this one!

    Typical seduction cinema movie

The story of a young girl going to Paris to see the tomb of her dead parents is nothing more than an excuse for a softcore movie, with strong lesbian tones. There is a certain atmosphere in the first part of the movie, but in the end it's nothing more than a sequel of not so torrid girl/girl scenes with the virginian beauty of Mysty Mundae and the more decise attractive of Tina Krause, Seduction cinema stars of several almost cloned movies. If you are in this kind of movies, you may find it watchable (but barely so). Otherwise stay away and watch Hammer movies instead.

    Cheap Cinema

Another variation about vampires with lots of nudity but kind of cheap... That's typical from Seduction Cinema so don't expect anything much.. Slow story, awful actors and actresses but beautiful Misty Mundae got nice sex-appeal on screen (especially when she's naked)

If you like cheap movies or lots of women showing off their body (no great camera working even there!) you might enjoy this but be warned... all the movies from Seduction Cinema is like this one, even if the plot is different... It's redneck cinema...

    Sub-par effort

The usually desirable Misty Mundae plays Caroline, a girl who goes to Paris to grieve for her dead mother, only to be raped by a mugger & befriended by vampress Isabella (Tina Krause, whom i recall seeing before in "bloodletting" a far better movie I've reviewed) in this sub-par Seduction Cinema release. The women all look nice, but just good looking girls does not a good soft-core make. There's no plot to really speak of and it's boring. Judging by the extras on the DVD, they were going for a "love story with erotic overtunes". Hilarious and absurd when you see the finished product. For hardcore Misty-philes ONLY! To anyone else steer clear of this turd.

    Blahh!

Although this is marketed as a horror movie, it is basically a softcore porno flick with only vague horror trappings. (The horror atmosphere of an XXX horror parody like "I Know Who You Did Last Summer" is probably more convincing). With its piano concerto score and its Paris setting, the movie does seem to be trying, for better or worse, to ape the classic "Eurotic" horror films of directors like Jesus Franco or Harry Kumel. But while these directors were never afraid to show strange and disturbing images, this film offers only the kind of bland lesbianism and female auto-eroticism that won't ruin the mood for the home-video version of the "raincoat crowd". And if they really wanted to go European, why didn't they dub Misty Mundae's voice with someone who could actually act? I mean she makes Linnea Quigley look like Meryl Streep. (To her credit though, Mundae does seem to be more woman than silicone, which is more than can be said for most of Seduction Cinema's stable of "actresses"). There was one brief scene involving a dog dish where the director and Mundae seemed for a moment to be channeling the spirits of Jess Franco and Lina Romay, but after that--blahh! I literally fell asleep before it was over.
