Karthik had come of age by late 80s . His a adolescent awkwardness had gone by then . He is the back bone of this movie . He looks slim , trim and handsome even while fighting a dozen villains . He becomes a police informer when he comes to Chennai searching for a job. His friends pickpocket Charlie and his GF dancer Kuyili take him in and give him shelter .
His police mentor Radha Ravi gets promoted by solving case after case thanx to Karthik. His daughter Sitara ( with a childish squeaky voice ) falls for Karthik. She wears the most shapeless ridiculous clothes to show that she is a city brat.
Radha Ravi fears that his daughter is seeing some one as she is coming late so he asks Karthik to keep an eye on her .
A few duets later , Radha Ravi realises that she is indeed seeing only Karthik and he forbids her to do this as Karthik does not have a steady job .Meanwhile Karthik's cabaret dancer friend Kuyili is killed by the villain Naseer and his gang in a gang war . Karthik had informed the police about one of their drug cartels .
Among all the crimes and sins committed , drug peddling is the worst as its addictive and difficult to stop .
Its a pleasure watching Kuyili dance .she has the figure and looks for it . She also acts well in a couple of scenes .
The war is on now between Naser and Karthik with Radha Ravi pulling out all security umbrella for Karthik who had resigned from this job.
Some scenes are very childish and silly like a gang of men kidnapping Sitara from a oool side in full glare of public in broad daylight . just by lifting her but then who looks for logic in Tamil movies . In the end , all becomes well .
