In its own way, a classic love triangle, the action of which unfolds on the streets of perestroika Almaty. The figure brought out in the title is presented here by the one who is usually considered to be the conventional creative intelligentsia. For some time, she is accompanied by a strange, mysterious stranger. This aspect adds a spark to the perception of the heroine, satiated with her former lifestyle (as well as her current relationship), played here by Alika Smekhova at her age of twenty-one. Several smaller stories are played out in the background.
On the one hand, it seems to be an unremarkable romanticized melodrama, and on the other, there is a certain passing abstraction, elements of melancholy and an atmosphere at the junction of eras that are different in essence and content, which is reflected in particular in the characters themselves. These aspects allow this film to stand out against the background of predominantly gloomy works of its time period.
