    Great!

I love 'I Love Mummy'!! I think it's hilarious!! And the mummy (Nuff) speaking in a 'proper' English accent is genius!! It really made me smile in the morning!! Elyes Gabel is fantastic as Nuff, and is currently starring in BBC's Casualty, where I can assure you, he plays a very gorgeous character (I especially like his hair!)!! A lot of people find this show extremely unfunny but I think quite the opposite!! The actors act very well the parts of the family who Nuff stays with and it's especially funny when they dress up for a special occasion. The little guy who befriends Nuff is very talented for a young actor and his big sister is a typical teen girl!!

Remember when YTV used to show actual good television?

Remember when YTV used to show actual good television? I'm talking about the old school stuff here: Are You Afraid of the Dark, My Hometown, Reboot, Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat, The Hit List (I'm talking about the "Tarzan Dan" version, not the bubblegum ish with Exan, Leslie and Aashna) and even Squawk Box? Now, the viewers are stuck with over the top, cream of the crap: Radio Active, System Crash, The Olsen Twins Special #263475588 and now, this comedic genius of a show, "I Love Mummy." I came across this show one day, and immediately got an eyeful of Nuff, the ancient Egyptian mummy living with the conventional, modern-day family. I stuck around, because I love the mystique of the ancient Egyptian civilization. But this show was just plain ridiculous. The acting is poor. The dialogue is garbage; my friends and I could come up with better dialogue when we're fighting over the remote control. The mummy has an annoying British accent. I'm pretty sure pharaohs did not have Brit accents. The show in general looks like it was filmed in the 1980s. This show is terrible. Nuff is cute, but the show, and the awkward laugh track is BAD!

    Cute

Not one of the best quality shows, but a good watch if your looking for rather over-the-top humor. Watching it just once may sour your taste for it, but watching more then one episode will get you attached to the interesting characters in no time.

    Not bad, not great ...

Not a bad show, but not a good one either. It was just lukewarm; not awful enough to be remembered, which was its biggest crime. There were, in fact, some good episodes (the one with the resurrected palace slave stands out), but the scattered bits of wit and clever ideas are buried under some ultra-low cheap production values (especially for Canadian TV, which isn't exactly known for its spit and polish) and overly broad comedy and acting.

If they'd gone for a "Big Wolf On Campus" approach (no laugh track, some actual production value) it could have had a longer and possibly more successful run. There were solid ideas and the fish out of water approach is a TV staple, but I LOVE MUMMY remains a missed opportunity.

    Misunderstood comedy show!!!

I feel compelled to write this comment because of the review by 'Floormatt'! What is he talking about????

The show is stupidly funny! Goofy! Old school! Reminds me of the stuff I watched when I was younger like 'Bewitched' and 'I dream Of Genie'. The guy who plays Nuff is really surreal and unique. At first you watch the show and can't quite get your head into the comedy, but as soon as you do, you realize that Nuff is CRAZY!! He has his own style that makes him sooo different to other sit-coms on at the moment.

We had it on here in the UK for a while, and it is a shame that it isn't showing anymore. But again, you can't call this show CRAP?? It shows that you didn't 'get' it. It is a show trying to be different and yet feel familiar at the same time.

Think about it. Any show that has a 'CHAMPION MONKEY WRESTLER' in it must be good?!!!

Check it out. It is a shame they don't make shows like this any more.
