A strange yet humored criticism on conversion-group therapy

The makers of this short managed to pick an unfunny topic and bring some strange humor to it. The mockumentary presents the confident guru Nate Jacobson (Michael Barker) who runs a conversion-theraphy center destined to cure gay people. He has a group very inclined to such ideals and always receives new applicants, yet his ideas and "teachings" are ultimately bizarre like the Jesus cookie (forgot the name but it's a mixture of both) and they also make protests against gay-friendly places. But there's a hidden secret revolving this influential man which could affect the group perception on him.

While it's quite difficult to make fun of such those issues since they're all serious in spreading their message across America and a very dumb idea that one could be changed from homosexual to straight, the film actually succeeds a little in creating humored situations because, just like those groups are in life, everything's absurd and doesn't have any shred of valid point; plus the cast is quite good despite a majority of unknown names except for veteran Sam Whipple, of whom I've seen in some other projects, and this marked as final film. The film criticism on those conversion groups is spot on, and the makers of it make an exagerated version of those groups and their leaders hence why there's some ways you can enjoy it and find it very humored. They promised us a sequel at the ending but I don't think it got made. 7/10.
