A masterpiece documentary video game series

The TV show icons, a.k.a. Game makers that aired on G4 was an amazing series. It had interviews about particular video game series or creator. It was very interesting to listen to the narrator. Jake Steely had a very good voice for narrating. This series was very well done and was true up to G Ford's top standards just like all their other series that they have made the topic that they had were very fun to listen to such as Mario or the legend of Zelda or the Super Nintendo or NES or the Game Boy or various other systems, this was a very good series that they made and I'm happy that it was created.

    I give 'Icons' 10/10.

    Icons

Icons is a show that profiles video games.

I always love video games and this is a show that would shows how far video games have come.

ICONS is one show that would give fans information and the history of their favorite games.

Icons would get people who work with video games or people who write about video games to talk about the games the show is talking about.

ICONS would talk about a video game series or a game genre.

ICONS is great show to learn about how a video game became so successful.

The show is very good and it's cool to see some great games on the show.

    Icons is so well done.

ICONS show everybody how video games are made and the stories on how well the games did.

Overall, If you ever worried how video games are made and how well the games did, then ICONS is a show that is worth watching.

    ICONS is fun and great.

    A video-game lover's documentary (TV Show)

Icons is shown on G4TV (136 for me) and usually airs in the morning.

Each episode is a documentary of a big title in video games. Usually it's about a series (Mortal Kombat, Final Fantasy, Dead or Alive, etc) but it sometimes is about a console or a company or something else. They shows the good and bad times in the history with occasional interviews and opinions. Every episode is as informative and interesting as the next. For example, did you know that there was a console that played arcade games and was sold at $600! (Of course, you had to buy the games, which were sold at $300.)

If you love video games, this is your type of show!

    • Trivia
"Game Makers" was originally broadcast under the title "Icons" for the first four seasons. In 2005 the show was renamed to "Game Makers" while G4 began a spin-off series named "Icons" outside the realm of video games which profiled pop-culture celebrities. Credits and titles of rebroadcasts were retrofitted to read Game Makers instead of Icons.
