Having just watched Milly D'Abbraccio guest star in an obscure, but arousing, Sarah Young movie AT HOME WITH PENE, I was quite pleased to consume her superstar vehicle PAOLINA IMPERIAL VENUS. Though shot on video rather than 35mm, it is one of Luca Damiano's classiest porn titles.

Subject matter is the same as a quality (though generally forgotten now) Gina Lollobrigida vehicle IMPERIAL VENUS, but Damiano's all-sex approach proves rewarding. The Napoleonic era backdrop is there but simply to provide beautiful costumes and settings for porn.

Thanks to wonderful lighting, unusually good for a Sony Video shoot, Milly's beauty is nonpareil in this outing, seen posing for the famous statue as she relates to the artist several of her more memorable sexual experiences (shown in flashback).

Highlight is a mixed-combo threesome with Omar Williams and a servant girl that is of award-caliber. It is notable for mixing in a considerable and worthwhile quantity of softcore buildup (including Milly's truly lustful grabbing of Omar's package) before getting down to serious XXX business, virtually a lesson to erstwhile pornographers who foolishly think that generic "in & out" closeups are all the fans ever want to see. Au contraire -as in real life, getting there is more than half the fun.

Her adventures take her from Rome to France and finally dressed up as brother Napoleon (hat especially) to visit a military camp for a gang-bang finale. Luca typically uses unconvincing stock footage for transitions, this being a studio-bound, claustrophobic cheapie, with recycling of the notorious (shot-on-film) horses humping scene from Borowczyk's THE BEAST representing a serious misstep.

Another fine scene has Milly in a four-way lesbian encounter featuring a huge-breasted natural from Damiano's stock troupe, who I believe is Carolina, though the credits are never helpful in pinning her down.
