Grim and Evil, aka The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, has been the show on Cartoon Network that's a kiddie version of any horror content, but managed to succeed on that. Yeah, maybe some like Irwin's obsession with Mandy that can be repetitive can keep this from being the best series Cartoon Network has produced. But at least the show has gotten to present its nature. Having a cartoon spooky series about supernatural creatures and when they enter the modern society. Which would make the premise work about how Grim was forced to become Billy and Mandy's servant. The animation is greatly crafted presenting the supernatural worlds we would see in the show. And a lot of characters are hilarious, especially with Billy's dumb shenanigans. Normally for this series, it would be for the kids to show what supernatural would look like. But I mostly recommend this for people that are like me and are nostalgic for this and are true Cartoon Network fans that miss the old days. I know this is a cartoon show, but at least the show could've lasted a little longer. I do understand how the show was cancelled due to Maxwell Atoms' contract from Cartoon Network has expired. But as someone that has grew up with Cartoon Network from the 2000s, this series has brought the memories for good laughs.
Since "The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy" has been spun off from "Grim and Evil", it is a much better show. This deserves to be on its own.
The premise is unusual. Billy (an idiotic little boy) and Mandy (a dark, sarcastic girl) trick Grim (aka Death), who has come for their gerbil, into being their "best friend forever". The show is a series of adventures of the two with their tall, dark and boney "friend".
This is apparently not everyone's cup of tea. The reaction to this show is very strong. Some hate it, some (like me) love it, especially with the rather morbid sense of humor that Mandy has. At the start of every show, Mandy gives a little comment, often relating to the episodes in the show. My favorite is "Evolution takes no prisoners". I'd like that on a bumper sticker!
My only complaint is...Why does Grim/Death have a Jamaican accent?
All in all, if you like "The Addams family", you'll get a kick out of this show.

This show is very entertaining and funny. Even episodes that aren't are still fun to watch. It's about these two kids (Billy and Mandy) who trick the Grim Reaper (or 'Death') to be their best friend.
There are a couple of problems. It sometimes seems like the show is trying too hard to make Billy seem dumb and Mandy can get a tad annoying with her clichéd 'dark' personality. Raven from Teen Titans has one too and she gets on my nerves as well. Still, people seem to like these type of characters.
Apart from that, this is a very good show. It's weird and sometimes creepy. The music isn't half bad either.

This is one of the best cartoons of all time. One of my childhood favorites. I first heard the theme song when I was about 10 years old and I love the "Destroy us all!" part. It's fun for kids to watch for ages 5-12! Morbidly funny yet gross and disgusting. You know it's like Invader Zim meets Are You Afraid of the Dark? Well, the character designs look pretty great but I am IN LOVE with Mandy's character designs!
About the characters, I rated it a 10/10 because they are excellent. Billy is my favorite character. He's very hilarious, goofy and a bit enthusiastic. Mandy hasn't worn any Goth clothes yet but she's very cynical, merciless and never smiles. In the Grim & Evil episodes, she is shown smiling but the world didn't implode yet. The Grim Reaper is awesome! I like some characters such as Eris, Hoss Delgado, Irwin, Dracula, Nergal, Nergal Jr., Jeff the Spider, Harold, Jack O'Lantern, Velma Green, Boogeyman and Fred Fredburger. I hated Mindy, Pud'n and Sperg!
About the music, it's kinda catchy. I love those tunes! The music is very awesome! It makes a Danny Elfman vibe. I'm so excited!
For the excitement, this is awesome. I love the episodes. My favorite episodes of all-time are Attack of the Clowns (funny), My Peeps (very funny!), Little Rock of Horrors (I love the catchy tune), Grim in Love (with an awesome character, Malaria) and Mandy the Merciless.

I am only commenting on the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy. I have not seen Evil Con Carne.
I try to watch this show as often as I can. I watch it in the morning just before work to get me in a good mood. I can think of nothing like it. It's hilarious, gross, interesting, extremely clever, etc etc. I don't think little kids will get the humor, some of it is somewhat suggestive, but a lot of it is very slapstick. This show has some subtle humor masked by lots of physical humor and some GREAT sound effects, the essence of cartoons IMO.
I has some excellent guest characters, like Hoss Delgado, Eris the Goddess of Chaos, and Irwin. Many of the episodes have a theme based on a myth, either ancient or modern (the coming of Cthulu for one). These episodes take such serious topics and twists them into something absurd and absolutely hilarious. I particularly enjoyed the episode where they looked into the future and Mandy was a caterpillar-like entity who was immortal and ruled the universe, using cinnamon as her source of power. This was a parody of Dune, more specifically the fourth book of the series, God Emperor of Dune. That's just one of the examples of the show parodying somewhat obscure themes or stories.
One of my favorite episodes was when Voltaire was a guest and he sang his "Brains!" song on it. Very entertaining.
Some people might not like it at first. I agree it can take some getting used to. Just watch an entire episode or two; if you have any sense of humor you should find it very entertaining.
