                        Good expansion!

I am a London-fan, British gangster-movies are best, so I think GTA:London is a very cool game, set in the late sixties. I really hope the next GTA-game in 3d will be a 2nd London, it would beat the crap out of the two "The Getaway"-games. With Rockstars sick humor and the actors they often use it would be every "Snatch"-fans dream. The original GTA:London have fun missions and a very weak story about a young hooligan who works his way up in the underworld of London. Cool characters like "The Twins" makes the "story" more enjoyable and the cars are cool too! The 60s rules!! The mission when you "fix" Big Ben's clock so the tourist-bus comes earlier is the most funny mission in the game, and there are some cool Bond-parody's too, with a side-story of a mad Australian who wants control over the world. Extremely Funny.

                        Great fun !

I am a huge huge fan of the Grand Theft Auto series and before Grand Theft Auto 3 was realised and we were blasted into the new era what happened was that we were given the birds eye view. And although by todays standards there is very little to do in it , it is still very fun. I never really got my hands on the expansion pack until much much later on in my life and being a hard core gamer I felt the need to complete it , and although it has taken me less than a week , the game was nothing short of funny and entertaining. Although the graphics might not be all that by now days standards and then the mission might be repetitive . But this game rules on accounts of it humour and also the fact that it is set in my home town of London which is just great. I would love to see a GTA game set back in London, for the nostalgic gamer who wants to revisit his high school days.

                        Great expansion for its time

Until "Grand Theft Auto 3" came around, this was the state in which the games were played: top down with the accelerate and brake/reverse buttons rigged for walking forwards and backwards. To say the least this control scheme was a bit awkward and the fact that the camera would pull back the faster you traveled in a vehicle helped a bit, but became annoying as it occasionally made it difficult to control if you wanted to get somewhere quickly (most people pulse the accelerator in a particularly speedy car).

Anyway, GTA was a good game in its time and this was no less an amusing expansion pack as it attempts to give the flavor of late '60s London with vehicles and music based on the variety found in that era. While not revolutionary it an expansion pack and they're usually not expected to be revolutionary. It's not nearly as pretty as many games, even those of the original PSX (not to be confused with the up-coming, pumped-up, home entertainment center version of the PS2 by the same name) era as it was mainly sprite based with some 3D for the buildings. However, the fact that you get a whole city (albeit low-res) to play around in with no loading screens is a big plus.

So, thus this game is/was fun, but can be real hard for those used to "Grand Theft Auto 3" or "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" to play. Though one can't say it was bad based on the new GTA as it's like saying "'Mario Brothers' is bad compared to 'Mario Sunshine' because of doesn't look good or offer enough." So if you've still got an original PSX or a PSOne or even a PS2 and have a couple of dollars to spend at a used game store, this game is still fairly fun (7.3/10).

Okay, but not as good as Gta3 and GTA: vice city

Well, let me say that this game is okay, with the helacopter view. like the other GTA games for playstation 1. its was great at first( becouse we didnt have Grand theft auto 3 and vice city) but after a while it got boring. so i would give it a 5 out of 10
