Not the Green Knight you thought it would be

If you're like me and getting my prepared for The Green Knight (2021) and want to view all of the other interpretations of this classic story, this is NOT that story. That being said it's great for children so I can't be too bummed. Maybe if I was younger I would've gotten more of a kick out of it but as it is. 7/10 not too bad.

    A nice movie with Franklin

Although it may feel like a normal episode of the series but extended, it is a nice adventure for very young children.

Franklin and the Green Knight: A Decent Animation with Untapped Potential - A 6/10 Review

When this Franklin film was first released, I watched it with anticipation. The animation quality was decent, and the storyline had potential. However, the movie needed more time to hit the mark. Although the characters were likable, their journey required more depth and investment. The plot could have been more engaging, and at times, the movie felt slow-paced, making it difficult to hold my attention. Overall, I would give this film a rating of 6 out of 10. While it's not a bad movie, it's not one that I would enthusiastically recommend to others. In summary, Franklin and the Green Knight is a movie that has its moments, but it ultimately falls short of its potential.

    Mental

Franklin acts like he's mental. No offence. I've been binging Franklin show for the first time, and he always gets depressed, makes horrible mistakes and in one episode he didn't know what a butterfly was.

I used to watch Franklin from time to time as a youth, but I didn't realize how annoying he was until now.

This will be both a movie and update review on the show.

    Date:

    February 11th 2024

    Genre:

    Children animation

    Duration:

    1 hour 15 minutes

    What was this film/show/game about?:

Franklin shows that he's dumb, he takes a fairy tale seriously and puts himself and the worse character ever "Snail" endanger.

The story and the production overview notes:

For a movie, it's ok. If you ignore how dumb Franklin is. For an adventure story its pretty good.

They song quite a few horrible songs.

As a show, it can be annoying because Franklin gets depressed a lot for pity reasons. Bear is too sensitive, Beaver can be a rude, knowitall. Snail is the worst character ever. He or should I say she is too slow, therefore you ask a lot of questions about this character that doesn't get answered. Snail is worthless.

    Overall:

Franklin is a dumb turtle. So annoying at times. For some episodes, the writing is lazy.

    Highlight:

Fox, Owl and Rabbit were the best characters

    Moral:

    Don't be a dumb turtle.

Also, his parents didn't scold Franklin for running off like that. The film was resolved too quickly. Eagle made things too easy.

    Villain:

    Franklin because he's dumb.

    Punny Rating:

Hey, it's A Dumb Turtle... Growing dumber

    Final Words:

As a youth this show was one of the best during the prime of Treehouse TV. As an adult, it's not that good. Franklin is too dumb. And he'll get an annoying little sister.

    Brilliant for a "Children's Film"

"Franklin and the Green Knight," is the best children's movie of all time and one of the best movies ever. This is no small claim, but this also no small movie. "Green Knight" hits all the right notes when it comes writing, directing, soundtrack and original songs, characters and more. This is a touching tale that has an important lesson to tell, but is never ridiculously saccharine or forceful in its message.

"Franklin and the Green Knight" is about Franklin expecting a new sibling. Those who are regular watchers of the series are probably already quite familiar with Franklin's new sibling, but even if you are, this is well-worth watching anyway. The movie contains four original lyrical songs. Two of them are pretty high-energy, exciting songs, but the other two are more touching and introspective songs.

This movie contains a lot of great humor, but also many greatly personal moments. One of the best involves a special bonding between Franklin and a close friend of his. The ending is also pure magic.

      [first lines]

Narrator: Franklin could count by twos and tie his shoes. He loved warm spring showers, hot summer days and crisp autumn winds. He also loved the winter because winter meant snow and playing in the snow made him very happy. One January, when the snow laid deeper and thicker than anyone in Woodland could remember, Franklin was especially happy. Something was about to happen that would change his life forever.
