For comedian Kyle Mooney’s next bit, he’s adopted the moniker Kyle M and released his debut album, The Real Me. Stream it below.
Entirely recorded, written, and produced by Mooney, The Real Me features 11 songs and clocks in at under 20 minutes. In a press release, the album is described as “a singular artistic vision unbound by genre,” spanning across rock, country, dance, and R&b.
In the tongue-in-cheek mini-documentary accompanying the album, Mooney visits his purported childhood home and reminisces about his longtime love for music — all while insisting “there is nothing comedic about the Kyle M project.”
Naturally, The Real Me offers plenty of laughs with amateurish tracks like “Kid of the Range,” where Mooney sings, “I’m just a lonely cowboy/ Who’ll never be a cow… man.” Similarly, his attempt at R&b, “Ily,” features lyrics like, “I trying to say I love you/ But...

Fast X Release Date: 2023-05-19
Who is in the blue Nissan at the end of F9? The ninth installment in The Fast and the Furious franchise, directed by Justin Lin, sees Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) reuniting with his estranged brother Jakob (John Cena). The film includes a lot of familiar faces from past films, including The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift crew, who have surprisingly become rocket scientists living in Norway. The movie is the most farfetched entry in the Fast and Furious, as Roman and Tej go into space, and not even Fast X could top F9's ambitiousness.
However, while F9 has so many unanswered questions, ones that weren't even answered in Fast X, the biggest mystery is much more grounded. At the end of F9, Dom's invited everybody back to his newly rebuilt house for a barbecue. Dom points out that there's an empty chair,...

One of the stars of Guillermo del Toro’s new noir, he has been a captivating character actor for 40 years, but is rarely put up before the press. We find out why …

Lifetime has released its first trailer for "The Anna Nicole Story," the network's original movie about Anna Nicole Smith directed by Mary Harron, of "American Psycho" and "The Notorious Bettie Page." Agnes Bruckner ("Blue Car") stars as the voluptuous model and actress, and while she can't really replicate Smith's physicality, what makes the video below worth a watch is the way it really does seem to represent a Lifetime sensibility crossed with Harron's. Read More: Lifetime's 'Ring of Fire' Director Allison Anders: How to Be An Indie Filmmaker in a TV World Set to a cover of Irene Cara's "Fame," it looks like a horror movie take on the typical Hollywood tragedy tale of celebrity, excess and clown makeup (?). Joe Batteer and John Rice wrote the script for the film, which co-stars Cary Elwes, Adam Goldberg, Martin Landau and Virginia Madsen and premieres on June 29.

"American Psycho" director may have seemed like an odd fit for a Lifetime Movie when the network's first announced it'd be working with her in October, but Mary Harron did chronicle the life of a famous pin-up in "The Notorious Bettie Page" -- Anna Nicole Smith may not be quite as iconic, but she's also not completely foreign territory for the filmmaker. Now Lifetime has set a date for "Anna Nicole," which Harron directed and which stars Agnes Bruckner ("Blue Car") as the model and actress. The film will premiere on Saturday, June 29, at 8:00pm, and co-stars Martin Landau as Smith's 89-year-old oil tycoon husband J. Howard Marshall, Virginia Madsen as Smith's mother Virgie Arthur, Adam Goldberg as Smith's attorney and lover Howard K. Stern, and Cary Elwes as E. Pierce Marshall, who fought Smith's claim to half of his father and her husband's estate after he passed away.

The story of Jeff Bridges' self-titled major album debut goes back some 30 years -- to when he first met his friend and Grammy winning producer, T Bone Burnett. The two were originally introduced to each other by actor/singer Kris Kristofferson in 1980, while the three were filming Michael Cimino's infamously disastrous western, "Heaven's Gate."
Bridges and Burnett would go on to collaborate on the film "Crazy Heart," garnering Oscars for the both of them, Best Actor and Best Song respectively. Bridges' character in the film,
Bad Blake, was heavily inspired by Kristofferson, whom Bridges uncannily resembles in the role. The collaboration inspired The Dude to return to his musical pursuits (he had a small release in 2000 on his own label), this time with Burnett's veteran helping hand.

What a strange bit of untimely news this morning. Who dies of a heart attack at age 32? Makes no sense. The above news headline isn't a case of bad taste -- I've decided to re-publish a Brittany Murphy interview we had on the site, which I had completely forgot that we had, but it serves as a reminder that the actress, known for bubbly roles as Jameson mentions in his intro below, and as of late, had some back to back films that went the direct to video route, should also be remembered for taking on some difficult, challenging indie parts as in Karen Moncrieff's film. - What a strange bit of untimely news this morning. With three episodes of the sixth season of Entourage behind us, it appears that each episode is focusing on a different member of the gang. Last week in "One Car Two Car Red Car Blue Car," Turtle and his lack of a career were both front and center. Our short friend was agonizing in self pity as his mother chastised him for being a "loser." But I still don't feel sorry for the guy as he was bought not only a Ferrari, but also a Porsche by Vince and Jamie-Lyn respectively. Next week, the focus shifts to Drama as he screen tests with some potential love interests in his TV show, which should spawn some funny moments and classic lines. Also up, Ari sends Lloyd to spy on Andrew Klein, who has yet to take his boss' advice about not philandering with the young, hot agent at Miller Gold. Check...

Storylines started to settle in Entourage's sixth season with Sunday's episode "Amongst Friends." The focus is on the red carpet premiere of Vince's new movie, "Gatsby." E finally reveals his true feelings to Sloan. But, of course, a wrench is thrown in that mix when E's young and flirtatious neighbor decides to approach him and Sloan on their "friend date." Meanwhile, Lloyd begins a ridiculous diet on his quest to become an agent. Check out the preview for what happens in Episode 3: One Car, Two Car, Red Car, Blue Car, which appears to be a filler episode. Turtle is catching some flak from his mother after the photos of the Gatsby premiere show up in magazines. "She's Dating Him?" quips one publication, implying that Jamie-Lyn Sigler is way out of Turtle's league. Meanwhile, E is having problems with Charlie's pilot as it is not screening well.

Confessions of a Shopaholic - Isla Fisher (adorable) stars in this film by Pj Holden (awesome). Of course, it's being eviscerated by critics, so maybe it's a DVD movie. The ads and posters have been everywhere for this movie, haven't they? So much more so than Watchmen, strangely.
Easy Virtue - Stephen Elliot (The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert) returns to directing after a debilitating accident to direct this Jessica Biel period comedy. Yes, you read that right. It actually looks quite charming, and it co-stars Kristen Scott Thomas and Colin Firth.

- Now playing in theaters is writer/director Karen Moncrieff’s (Blue Car) second feature-length film effort, The Dead Girl. Part-psychological thriller, part psychological drama, The Dead Girl examines the emotional ripple effect surrounding the dead body of a young woman, and features an ensemble cast of actors, including Giovanni Ribisi, Toni Collette, James Franco, Mary Beth Hurt, Brittany Murphy, Kerry Washington, and Marcia Gay Harden. Gritty, well-written, extremely well acted, Moncrieff has made a film bursting with ideas and talent, and leaves me curious as to what she will do next. I was fortunate to speak with her recently while she was visiting New York City. Karen Moncrieff Interview Contains Spoilers!!!!!!!!!!! Question: With the ensemble cast, and a lot of big names, do you still consider this an indie film? Karen Moncrieff: Oh yeah. Definitely. We did it on a very limited budget, and certainly the sensibilities behind it are independent-minded,

Bruckner, Clarkson in 'Woods'
Blue Car star Agnes Bruckner will team with Patricia Clarkson to star in The Woods for United Artists and director Lucky McKee. Shooting is scheduled to start Sept. 15 in Montreal. In addition to casting the rest of the film, MGM's specialty arm and the producers are clearing up any potential title dispute with M. Night Shyamalan's The Woods at the Walt Disney Co., and it looks as if McKee's project will get to keep its name. A Disney spokesman said Wednesday that Shyamalan's The Woods is just a working title.
