In a recent thread in the r/Jeopardy forum, fans have been naming their picks for Daily Doubles that changed the course of Jeopardy! history. Reddit user bluegambit875 kicked off the discussion, writing about one Daily Double “that seemed to have an outsized impact in the superchamp era.” That Daily Double, bluegambit875 wrote, came during the first game of 2014’s Battle of the Decades finals, when Roger Craig, pictured above, bet everything on a Daily Double about medical terms. Unfortunately, Craig couldn’t name the five-letter term for swelling or bloating in the body due to an excess build-up of fluid — it was “edema” — and lost $10,200. “If Roger hit that Dd, then he could have runaway with Game 1 and plausibly have won the entire tournament. That could have gained...

Ryan Seacrest’s job may be in jeopardy.
Just six months after he made his Wheel of Fortune Season 42 debut, Ryan has reportedly ticked off his bosses.
Despite soaring ratings early into this season of Wheel of Fortune, the show’s viewership has taken a dip in recent weeks.
Ryan’s weeknight game show rival, Ken Jennings, has come out on top as Jeopardy! ratings have knocked Wheel of Fortune out of the top spot.
So, what could be the reason for Ryan’s declining ratings?
According to a Wheel of Fortune insider, Ryan’s lack of sense of humor and multifaceted career could be to blame.
Ryan might not be the right ‘fit’ at Wheel of Fortune
The source spoke with Closer Weekly, telling the publication that Ryan’s repartee pales in comparison to Pat Sajak’s “understated” sense of humor.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Friday, March 7, episode of Jeopardy!] What is… back to regularly scheduled programming? After months of tournaments, Jeopardy! is back with the regular syndicated game show. Matt Amodio won the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament on Thursday, March 6, ending the reign of tournaments. Now, seven-day streak winner Laura Faddah, from Memphis, Tennessee, has returned to try and beat her record. She faced off against Omar Abu Realh, from Annandale, Virginia, and Roger Ghaman, from Studio City, California. Faddah etched her name into the history books on December 27, 2024, when she became the first contestant ever to win at least seven games with less than $100,000 total. The manager’s total of $87,400 broke the previous record by contestant Tim Aten. He won seven consecutive games for a total of $107,499 before losing his eighth game. Besides Faddah, no other champion has had less than $100,000 after seven wins. On Friday, she told host Ken Jennings that she started watching Jeopardy! ...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Thursday, March 6, episode of Jeopardy!] After Matt Amodio racked up the second-highest score of the entire season, he returned for game two of the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament finals to try and win it all. He played once again against Roger Craig, from Arlington, Virginia, and Juveria Zaheer, from Whitby, Ontario, Canada, on Thursday, March 6. Despite both Amodio, from New York, New York, and Craig being fast on the buzzer, Zaheer racked up money in the beginning of the game due to the category “Canadiana,” where the questions were about Canada, where she lives. Zaheer, a psychiatrist, also correctly answered a question about a female Canadian hockey player. This brought her to the lead with $2,400. Craig, an applied scientist, then correctly answered the first Daily Double of the game, giving him second place. Amodio, a quantitative researcher, then answered questions correctly, putting him in the lead before the first commercial break. However, he ...

On February 17, 27 Jeopardy! greats competed for a spot in the finals of the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament. Now, it’s down to three for the first game of the finals, and one of them blamed their buzzer speed for their loss. Matt Amodio from New York, New York; Roger Craig from Arlington, Virginia; and Junveria Zaheer from Whitby, Ontario, Canada, competed against each other on Wednesday, March 5. Craig, an applied scientist, and Amodio, a mathematician, were indeed fast on the buzzers. They rang in on almost every question. Zaheer, a psychiatrist, rang in on a few and answered them correctly, but her downfalls were in the Daily Doubles. “A powerful punch, it’s likely named for the agricultural practice of cutting dried grass,” the question read. “What is roundhouse?” she answered incorrectly, losing $3,400 and going down to $0. The round got worse for her after that. She was -$1,000 in the hole...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Tuesday, March 4 episode of Jeopardy!] The last semifinals of the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament came down to a gutsy wager. It all came down to Final Jeopardy! to determine who was moving on to the finals. Juveria Zaheer, from Whitby, Ontario, Canada, played against fellow Canadian, Ray Lalonde, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and Raymond Goslow, from Marietta, Georgia. The game started with a battle between Zaheer and Goslow, with one answering a handful of questions then the other. Meanwhile, Lalonde, a scenic artist, was in the hole with -$800. However, he did know a question about cigars, bringing his total up to $0. Goslow, a library technology consultant, was in the lead until he found the first Daily Double. He wagered all of his money and plummeted to $0 when he answered incorrectly. However, he quickly turned his game around to tie Zaheer, a psychiatrist, by the end of the first round. Lalonde was in ...

The second round of the semi-finals for Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament left fans chuckling after host Ken Jennings made a shocking joke. The Monday, March 3, game had fan-favorite Matt Amodio, from New York, New York, face off against Luigi de Guzman, from Arlington, Virginia, and Emily Sands, from Chanhassen, Minnesota. De Guzman, an attorney, started off in the lead, correctly answering multiple questions. Amodio was right behind him. However, Sands found the Daily Double on her second question, moving her above Amodio with $1,600. After that, she was on a roll, and it was a battle between her and de Guzman. During the interview round, Sands revealed that her job as a benefits consultant is fairly new. She landed the job shortly after the Tournament of Champions ended, so it caused her to be behind on Jeopardy! Amodio, a quantitative researcher, suggested that now that there is a Pop Culture Jeopardy!, they...

Wheel of Fortunehas an interesting twist, but I've noticed most of the contestants this year aren't interested in taking the risk. CBS's Wheel of Fortune first premiered in 1975 and was created by Merv Griffin, the same person who created Jeopardy!. The game is simple and comparable to the iconic game Hangman. Players spin a massive 2,400 pound wheel with monetary amounts on it. They guess letters in hopes of solving the puzzle to win as much money as they can before the show is over.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Friday, February 28 episode of Jeopardy!] The first semi-final of the 2025 Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament already ended in a tight result. One contestant had a stellar poker face that made fans think he lost the Final Jeopardy! question. Shane Whitlock from Benton, Arkansas, Roger Craig from Arlington, Virginia, and Jaskaran Singh from Plano, Texas, competed in the first semi-final on Friday, February 28. Singh currently works as a consultant but has applied to law school and is looking for a career change. Host Ken Jennings said he might qualify for the college tournaments in the future. Whitlock, a radiologist, started off the game by answering nearly every question, leaving his opponents in the dust. However, Craig, an applied scientist, quickly caught up, answering many questions in a row. He also got lucky when Whitlock incorrectly answered a question, causing his total to go down close to Craig’s. Singh quickly moved into second place when ...

Good Bad Ugly Teaser Review: Fans Are Worried For Ajith Kumar! ( Photo Credit – Twitter )

Helmed by director Adhik Ravichandran, who is loved for his edgy narratives, he might have unleashed a beast here with Ak arriving in suave and dapper avatars!

According to a report from The New York Times, Sony Pictures Entertainment has begun soliciting bids for both game shows. The production company wants to move both programs to streaming. Currently, both shows air on traditional television during the primetime slot. According to Nielsen, they attract seven million viewers per night.
However, Jeopardy! has beaten out WoF in the ratings. That’s because a new contestant named Drew Gains has garnered attention. However, Sony wants to broaden its audience. They noticed that other broadcast shows, like WWE Raw, have found success with streaming. Keith Le Goy, the chairman of Sony’s television division, explained the reason for this move.
“The world is changing around us,” Le Goy said.

Shankar Velpari Controversy (Photo Credit – Instagram)
Director S. Shankar, once a beloved figure in the Tamil film industry, has seen a dramatic shift in fortune. His last two films, both featuring top-tier actors with immense brand value, turned out to be financial disasters. One of them, Indian 2, was the sequel to the cult classic Indian and starred Kamal Haasan in the lead role. Despite the original film’s iconic status, the sequel failed at the box office. However, Indian 3 is still in the pipeline.
Shankar then ventured into Telugu cinema with Game Changer, starring Ram Charan. Unfortunately, this film also met the same fate, bombing at the box office and receiving negative reviews from both audiences and critics.
There has been online chatter about director Shankar’s dream project, an adaptation of the Tamil novel Veera Yuga Nayagan Velpari by Su. Venkatesan. However, according to Great Andhra, this project...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Thursday, February 27 episode of Jeopardy!] A Jeopardy! player hopes that the audience at home and in the studio could feel the magic that she felt while playing. After the last quarterfinals of the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament, Juveria Zaheer, Season 40 Second Chance and Champions Wildcard winner and 2024 Tournament of Champions quarterfinalist, spoke out about her time in the tournament. Zaheer, from Whitby, Ontario, Canada, played against Seth Wilson, 12-game Jeopardy! winner, and Jackson Jones, 2019 Teen Tournament semifinalist and 2023 High School Reunion Tournament runner-up. The game started off pretty equally as all three game show contestants correctly answered questions. However, Zaheer fell to last place when she bet it all on the first Daily Double. The crowd went wild when the psychiatrist found it, cheering and hollering in their seats. “The structure called this, after the old city of Tokyo, was built; over centuries it expanded greatly, then contracted,” the clue read. Zaheer was ...

The new sitcom Running Point, which premieres on Netflix today, has several creators. Elaine Ko spent years writing Modern Family. Ike Barinholtz is a prolific character actor on everything from Blockers to The White House Plumbers, not to mention a Celebrity Jeopardy! champion. David Stassen is a writer and director whose credits include History of the World: Part II. But the fourth creator — Mindy Kaling — is the only one who’s parlayed her work writing on and co-starring in The Office into becoming a brand. Now, she’s the mogul behind Never Have I Ever, The Sex Lives of College Girls and The Mindy Project. She’s the social media maven with a signature swimsuit line; and if she hasn’t quite reached mononym status yet, the brand-new star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame gets her just a little closer.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Wednesday, February 26 episode of Jeopardy!] A Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament contestant made a shocking confession before winning Wednesday’s (February 26) episode. During the introductions, fan-favorite Ben Chan, a philosophy professor, from Green Bay, Wisconsin, admitted to crashing a wedding. Chan started off the game in the hole as the first question that he picked was a Daily Double, and he got it wrong. Getting the Dd wrong tripped him up and made his total under $1,000 before the first commercial break. His opponent, Shane Whitlock, from Benton, Arkansas, dominated the competition, racking up $5,600 halfway through the first round. The other contestant, Claire Sattler, a comedian and research scientist, was in the hole with $-200. Whitlock is a radiologist by day and a game show contestant by night. He is the 1996 College Championship winner. During the introduction round, the contestants admitted some shocking things. The first was that Whitlock didn’t know that Marilyn Monroe ...

Everyone has their favorite game show they grew up loving to watch and yell out answers at the screen.
In the evening, it is either Wheel of Fortune (Wof) or Jeopardy!, or perhaps both, as folks settle in to unwind after a busy day.
Both shows have changed things up in recent years, with the death of Alex Trebek in November 2020 because of stage IV pancreatic cancer and the retirement of Pat Sajak last year.
Ken Jennings became the host of the popular show Jeopardy! and Ryan Seacrest left Live with Kelly and Ryan to stand next to Vanna White on Wof.

Ken Jennings will “never” compete on Jeopardy! again.
The winningest Jeopardy! contestant has made quite the mark on the famous quiz competition.
During his 2004 run, Ken won the most consecutive games and holds the Jeopardy! record for the highest winnings in regular-season play.
His impressive performance has Jeopardy! fans calling for his return to the other side of the podium, but according to an insider, those days are over for Ken.
A source spoke with The Sun and revealed that Ken was heard talking about the prospect of returning as a Jeopardy! contestant during a “candid off-camera chat.”
Reportedly, Ken admitted that “it would be completely unfair” for him to compete as a contestant again “since he gets all the behind-the-scenes tips and tricks as host.”

Ryan Long, Robin Carroll, and Ray Lalonde faced off on Tuesday, February 25’s game show. Long is a super champion who won 16 games before his streak ended. Lalonde is the second-longest-streaking and second highest-winning Canadian champion both in regular play and overall, behind only Mattea Roach. Carroll won the Tournament of Champions in 2000. During the first round, Long and Lalonde were flying through answers, racking up their banks to $1,800 each. However, they both incorrectly answered a question under “Cities ...

On Wednesday, February 26, it is teased that Damian will put down roots in Genoa City. It seems that most people rent a hotel suite instead of renting an apartment or buying a house. Of course, it could also mean that Damian goes after a Genoa City business.

Not everyone can lose in an intense game like Jeopardy! and still come off as a class act as Amy Schneider did recently.
The Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament 2025 (Jit) began recently, and Amy Schneider, alongside Luigi de Guzman and Avi Gupta, all competed for the first win.
While Amy tried her hardest to come out ahead against Avi and Luigi, she was unsuccessful this time.
Amy, who won 40 games of Jeopardy! in a row in 2022, was undoubtedly a fan favorite for the Jit games.
She happens to be the second longest-running player in the Jeopardy! Game, behind Ken Jennings, who recently became the host of Jeopardy! after a long search.
Amy, a writer, came in third with a win of $4200, after Avi, a law student, won $4367, and Luigi, an attorney, came in first with $18,799 while advancing to the semifinals.

He is also the number one player for the highest winnings of a regular season play with $2,520,700, according to Jeopardy.com. Jennings ranks at number two for all-time winnings including tournaments with $4,370,700, just behind Brad Rutter. No one is close to his record, but he believes that one champion has the ability to beat him. Amy Schneider is in second place with 40 consecutive games won. Jennings was in awe of her, saying that she had come close to beating him. On the latest episode of the Inside Jeopardy podcast, the show’s producers, Sarah Whitcomb Foss and Michael Davies, discussed the past week’s Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament results. They revealed that Matt Amodio wants to be Jeopardy!

Having returned to the Alex Trebek Stage for the latest Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions, Drew Basile feels ready for a Survivor reprise. Basile previously competed in Survivor Season 45, in which he came in sixth place, and now he wants to join the returning castaways on the CBS reality show’s milestone 50th season. “Yeah, my opinion has definitely changed on Survivor 50,” the trivia champ told Entertainment Weekly. “I haven’t gotten the call, I don’t have any concrete information, but I think I would be a great pick. I think CBS would really benefit from picking me.” Returning to Jeopardy! has made Basile more confident about his Survivor chances, he explained to the magazine. “I’ve got a little bit of a different perspective than some of the other contestants — I’m not afraid to get mean,” he added. “You’ve got a lot of good talkers on the show these days,...

[Warning: The following contains Major spoilers for the February 7 episode of Jeopardy!] The first round of the 2025 Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions featured a tie between two fan-favorite returning champs heading into Final Jeopardy. The triple-stumper final clue knocked the leading player out of first place, and another player’s all-or-nothing bet resulted in a painful loss. Two players shared memories from filming on the Jeopardy! Reddit discussion board for the February 7 episode, with one admitting they had to do “so much math” to make it out of this tiebreaker and the other called themselves a “certified Wagering Idiot.” Competing in the 2025 Jeopardy! ToC finals were three fan-favorite competitors: Adriana Harmeyer, Isaac Hirsch, and Neilesh Vinjamuri. Vinjamuri is the wildcard entry who’s been dominating the tournament, and Harmeyer and Hirsch were seeded directly into the semifinals thanks to their performances in their original Jeopardy! runs. Have you ever wondered what the most money a contestant could win in a single game of Jeopardy! is? Well, so have many others, and one particular fan has done the math to figure out the exact number. On the Jeopardy! Reddit forum, one user calculated that the most money a person could win on a single day of Jeopardy! is $566,400, though, as they pointed out, achieving this feat would be “impossible.” The user worked it out by assuming the contestant “gets every clue correct,” the “Daily Doubles are the smallest dollar amounts for that round,” the contestant “selects the Daily Doubles last” and “wagers their entire amount,” and then “they win Final Jeopardy, also wagering their entire amount. ” Taking this into account, the hypothetical contestant would end the Jeopardy round with $35,600 and the Double Jeopardy round with $283,200. If the contestant then wagered that entire amount on the Final Jeopardy clue and got it correct,...
