Zoë organizes a housewarming party. Akke has a cold and mixes alcohol with cough syrup. Tom tells Ted Birgit is lesbian. Birgit tries everything with Ted and doesn't understand why her charms don't work.

There is a fight for the TV remote when they break the TV. Akke plays a game which is not yet released in Europe. Tom starts his book and searches for inspiration. Jasmijn sees a boy she likes, but doesn't know how to get his attention. Birgit and Zoë help her. Steve is selected for the basketball team, but gets an accident on the way to practice. Tom forgets to play the electric bill.

Akke has his theoretical driving exams and has some surprising answers to the questions. Zoë studies Tom for a project for school and comes to the conclusion that he sees women only as a lust-object. Birgit bought a new mobile and gets a strange Spanjard on the line. Zoë tries to help Jasmijn with her first serious date.

Birgit tries to give Akke driving lessons. Jasmijn asks Tom to write a poem for her to give to her boyfriend. Birgit notices it's the same poet he wrote for her and other women. Tom has a new job at the Atomium. A little different then he first thought. Zoë has another hangover. It's her task to cook today, but arranges something simpler so she can go out.

Zoë has a new boyfriend, Tony. Birgit also goes after him. Tony wants to split with Zoë because of the tensions. When a basketball on TV finishes, which the whole gang is watching, Steve kisses Tony in the spur of the moment. Akke plugged a leak in the school's system. De dean is impressed and asks him to maintain the school's network. Tom's publisher gives him a new job. He has to do the broken heart column. Jasmijn gets a punishment from school for smoking in the toilets. With a fake doctor's note, she stays at home, but what of the school inspectors?

Tom thinks himself a literary activist. He gets business cards and a computer and then realizes he has no money left for the rent. Zoë paints her hair, but it turns out quite different then she expects. Jasmijn is alone with her boyfriend. When he wants more, she has a lot of doubt. What will she do? Steve thinks he forgot Tony's birthday and thinks it's strange Tony doesn't talk about it at all. Birgit has a new boyfriend, but soon she discovers he's very vain. Akke plays a murder-game from the university. He thinks everyone is involved in it.

Steve teaches Akke yoga, because he's too stressed. Birgit has to promote new chips. Only Steve likes them, but gets very itchy after eating a lot of it. Jasmijn writes to a broken heart column and finds out Tom is behind it. Zoë's father is in hospital because of a heart attack. Later that evening she gets terrible news. Tom tries to make Birgit jealous, but she's not impressed.

Jasmijn helps Zoë with her grief because her father passed away. A friend of Zoë gives her a pill to get through the night. At home she crashes and is rushed to hospital. Tom offers to go with Birgit to a late night party for her work because of her promotion. She doesn't want him, but it's very difficult to find someone else. Steve pretends to have invited his parents to meet Tony after he asked after them.

Jasmijn has to go to a convent to study, but has other plans to get through her exams. Zoë is back from the hospital. Akke is in love with her, but is Zoë also in love with him? Tom gets mail from a boy who thinks he's Sandra who's behind the broken heart column. Birgit's handbag is stolen. Steve gives her some illegal things to protect herself with unsuspected consequences. Steve is on a strange diet to cleanse his body, but can he stick with it.

Birgit and her boss show some customers the campaign they made for them. The customers are vulgar and Birgit has enough. Her boss fires her on the spot when the customers leave. Tony has to go to Spain for a year for work and asks Steve to go with him. Steve finds it difficult to say goodbye to his friends. Tom has to write a review about a U2 concert. Zoë and Akke want to go with him and keep nagging him about it. Jasmijn has a bad school-report and has to go to boarding school. She decides to move in with the gang.
