Halo is perhaps THE best children film I have ever seen. This is a story of a lonely girl Sasha, who lives with her father and her cousin sister, and longs for a good friend. One day a small puppy enters her house and gets very friendly with Sasha. Sasha thinks she has received the puppy from the God and names it HALO. But one day suddenly, the puppy disappears and then starts Sasha's search. The end is really very touching. The film is technically very well made by one of the greatest cinematographers of the world, Santosh Sivan. Along with that funny sequences in between make the film more interesting and watchable. Acting by Benaf Dadachanji (Sasha) is really award-winning. the film also features good performances by Sasha's father (the well known director Rajkumar Santoshi) and the bald child.
i have seen this movie first when i was a child and it touched my heart, and i recently saw it again on t.v and i liked it more than i liked it before.
very beautiful movie with excellent cinematography.
very touching story revolves around world of a little innocent girl. ending of the movie gives a great finish to it,one of the most memorable ending scene i have ever scene.
this movie gives us a very different and pleasant feeling, take us to the world of innocence.
it is unfortunate that such good and creative movies remain unnoticed because of bad marketing.
this movie is suitable for all children from age of 8 to 80.

The cinematography and editing was way ahead of its time. The child actors did a fairly decent job. I watched this as a kid and it left a lasting impression on me. I rewatched it in my 30s now and its still as effective. The final scene is tear inducing. Also, the title song used to be one of my favourites growing up. A must watch!
A very underrated movie which current generation hardly knows. Love, Innocence and Sacrifice portrayed in the most simple and beautiful langauge. The climax always make me cry. Performance of actors, Cinematography and Direction are top notch. One of the best works of Santosh Sivan. Especially the protagonist who portrayed the role of Sasha, her companion bald boy, the oldage couples, everyone played their roles perfectly.
This movie should be shown to children at least once. I request governments to screen this movie to all schools during events or festivals. Not only kids, but adults should also watch this movie.

Rather than a review, this is an emotional outburst. For a long time, I wanted to express my feelings about this movie, but, as I watched this movie very long time ago, I forgot its name.
I watched this movie when I was a kid, I remember I cried after watching the ending. At that time, I was not aware that this movie was directed by acclaimed director Santosh Sivan.
In present time, where movies on children or their has feelings have became so rare in Bollywood. This movie is a blast form the past as well as a lesson for "commercial" cinema of bollywood.
Hats Off to Santosh.
A must watch for, everyone specially for fans of movie like Mr. India.
