Revenge of the Red Balloon

Having recently seen The Red Balloon I read some IMDb reviews and found someone who'd hated seeing it as a kid (they apparently used to show it at school, which would have been much better than what they showed at my school) who recommended this movie.

It's actually pretty funny. The idea is inspired, and it's generally well done. It does a decent job of recreating the look of the original and actually has a less annoying score. It also has a bunch of amusing jokes at the expense of the French.

Unlike the one other person here who reviewed this movie, I thought The Red Balloon was a lovely movie. If you haven't seen it, hunt it down. And if you have seen it, you should appreciate this unofficial sequel.
