    It is what it is.

This is a pleasant film. I can't imagine anyone hating it or loving it. It is jarring to see Olivia and Chloe have such harsh words for each other's characters in their arguments, but that's as high as the stakes get. We know Izzy's not going to get in any major trouble in L.A., and we know her father isn't going to turn out to be horrible man. Therefore, Swoosie Kurtz's character ends up providing "comic relief" where not much relief is needed. Maybe a wackier story line would have been if Jasmine had a son and he went off to L.A. to be a drag queen, but that wouldn't have been a showcase for Chloe. So what we have is a kinda funny, kinda dramatic mother-daughter story with music as a backdrop. This film may not be gripping or hilarious, but the target audience (pre-teen girls, Olivia fans, gay men) will find it enjoyable, and most others should find something to like about it. A few of them might even view it again.

    I loved this movie

Maybe because ONJ has been my idol since I was a little girl but I loved this movie. I was watching the ONJ This is your life show and just saw that Wilde girls even existed. It sure wasn't promoted enough 20 years ago. I think that thecasting was great and I believe the acting was first rate. Obviously, it's not an Academy Award winner, it's not meant to be but it's a fun movie!!!

    Who is the singer?

Unlike most of the comments, I enjoyed the movie. It was the best and it wasn't the worst, but it was cute and delightful to watch. I also enjoyed the music that was in the movie and just wanted to know if that was Chloe Rose singer or not. And also is there a soundtrack to this movie? I would really enjoy that. Thanks

    Banal Tripe

I felt the need to add a bit of perspective to the single "awesome" comment. I watched this film because I had absolutely nothing better to do, and I 'm compelled to say that it's one of the worst things I've ever seen. The plot is hackneyed, the dialog is trite, and the acting is mediocre (with the exception of Swoosie Kurtz's -- I hope she got paid a lot to associate herself with a project of this nature). There's also a bunch of cheesy locations, poorly used.

Chloe Lattanzi, while possessed of modest musical and acting capabilities, lacks the prettiness her mother possessed in her prime. It's clear that this is film is intended as a vehicle for Chloe, and it's equally clear that it's a quixotic attempt.

There's really only one original song, repeated ad infinitum, and it was apparently composed by Olivia. If you think "I Honestly Love You" is a pop landmark, then you'll find this tune delightful. There's also a cover of "Rockin' Robin," which is ... okay.

This one is for diehard Olivia Newton-John fans only. Others will be better off watching Dukes of Hazzard reruns.

    Olivia fans will enjoy

Is this a hit, no. It's more like a Halkmark movie. Olivia, Swoozie and Chloe acted fine. Of course, Olivia music is loved, as a decades long fan, I didn't mind the new music. Chloe has talent, nice voice, acting not bad. Glad to know she has fought all her demons she struggled with growing up. I enjoyed it more than expected. With Olivia's anniversary of her death approaching, her music and movies have popped up in my YouTube feed. Just saw a Christmas one that was adorable... Chloe was also in it, much younger. I grew up with Olivia on the 70's-80's, sad to hear she lost her battle with breast cancer.
