Decent film. Not worth the low reviews.

This was a made for TV movie and honestly it was decent. The plot was unique and a bit nerve wracking. I don't think it was boring as others wrote, the action starts within the first 6 minutes.

The acting was good, Judge Reinhold has his signature smirks and sarcasm through out.

The thought of being implanted with a bomb is frightening. I thought they did a good job with the effects without showing gore.

Again I really don't get the low reviews, especially the 1's. I get not everyone has the same taste in movies but to me a 1 is unwatchable , which this movie isn't.

If you're looking for a fast paced, little thrill movie this is a good choice.

    Great TV movie

Dead In A Heartbeat was an awesome movie. The best TV movie that I have ever seen. It was so good that I think it should have come out to theatres first, because it really deserves more credit than a TV movie. Good plot, good actors, very good movie. I highly recommend it.

    Not bad,

i disagree with peoples views on the story being original. While watching the film it occurred to me i had seen this film before, just not. This is exactly the same as 'Speed' just with people not buses and a different motive. Yes the pacemaker story has originality and yes the movie was quite entertaining but come on, doesnt anybody else realise this?

    Check Your Pacemaker

Granted, "Dead in a Heartbeat" (2002) is a made-for-television movie with fade out/fade in prompts for commercials, but.the script does include some entertaining elements. For one, Judge Reinhold plays an experienced explosives specialist / police lieutenant investigating some bizarre murders. Working with a cardiologist who installs pacemakers, Reinhold and his team sift through medical records to find the killer.

Add in mounting tensions - most involving worrisome countdowns - and possible romance and you have a decent storyline. But watch this one only if a Hallmark-style TV movie agrees with your viewing tastes.

    Not good, not bad

Somewhere in the middle. The acting from both main characters are OK, Judge Reinhold is doing fine, and I also liked Fuvio Cecere as Berman. It's a mediocre TV-movie although, as it's way overpacked with clichés...too bad, it could have been better, as the acting is fine.
