There's nothing really wrong with this movie. The characters and acting is relatively good for a "B" horror movie. A few of the actors seemed miscast however. it is well filmed and doesn't look like a low-low budget movie.
The only thing is...for some reason it doesn't come together very well. It's just quite boring even for a Slasher movie. It also lasts about 10 minutes too long near the end. Another thing is that although it tries to make a twist out of the ending, i could see it coming a mile away.

Scared (Cut Throat) isn't a bad movie. It just isn't a great movie. I thought it was a decent film. It doesn't seem to be a very low budget production. The acting was adequate, nothing special but certainly not bad. You do have moments of tension and suspense as the body count rises and the blood splatters, although it may not be up to the expectations of die hard slasher movie fans. The movie quickly becomes a bit of a mystery as you try to figure out "who done it". A little twist is thrown in near the end and a final little twist at the very end. It's an OK movie and I enjoyed watching it but that's it. It was just OK. It's not going to be one of the more memorable thrillers I've seen. Certainly worth a look but it shouldn't be up in your must see list.
The name of this movie was "Cut Throat" when I saw it. It is just bad. I've seen some bad movies and this one is in the top 10 all time worst. Bad acting, bad story, bad everything. If you like bad movies, then watch this. You and your friends will have a great time tearing this garbage apart. This movie was a waste of money for whoever put up the dough to make it.
Reminds me of Final cut minus the supernatural element. Scream-ish. I loved it as a kid and i love it now. Super cheesey
It's a 'B' Movie Slasher Flick, about a serial killer on a film set, who is killing the cast and crew, and i for one, want to buy that killer a beer (i just wish he had killed them all before they started making the movie)
Badly Acted, Written, Directed and Produced, this film deserves no attention from anyone at all, ever!
There is no Tension, no frights, no fun and a very poor excuse for a twist at the end, oh, and its boring too (a rare quality for a slasher flick)
Do Yourself a favour and watch something else.

- TriviaThe movie was acquired by Charles Band at the behest of Blockbuster Video, a long time supporter of Band during the Full Moon Pictures era, due to the late '90s resurgence of the slasher horror subgenre, thanks to Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. With the help of an uncredited Tempe Entertainment, Band produced Bleed and acquired Keith Walley's Scared, renaming it Cut Throat.
