Everything you expect to see and more!

I've seen the original and now I've seen the sequel. It is good to see that a sequel that has outshined the original!

What is this movie about? Different types of torture, dismemberment, sodomy, horrific rape scenes, gratuitous naked scenes and sex scenes, plus, as a bonus, a plot with a twist!!!

If you are into this type of thing, don't miss this one.

Fairly entertaining 'tits 'n' torture' sleazefest

In the opening scene, a woman is sentenced to 'death by a thousand cuts'. The story of A Chinese Torture Chamber 2 then unfolds in a series of flashbacks, in which we find out exactly how she came to be in such a predicament...

Three out-of-luck peasants (two men and the woman from the opening scene) attempt to steal a man's horse and belongings, but are caught in the act. After befriending the would-be thieves and teaching them how to hunt and fend for themselves, the man leaves to take a job as a general — appointed by the government to keep the law in the district. Six months pass and the three (plus another woman), turn up at the general's house for a visit, and discover that he is not as nice as he at first seemed.

After half an hour of laborious plot building (and some softcore sex), A Chinese Torture Chamber 2 finally gets into gear and begins to deliver the goods — in the first of several cheesy torture scenes, a woman is impaled upon a red-hot metal phallus and a man has molten wax poured in his ears before having his tongue ripped out. Although this sounds stomach churning, it is actually quite tame in comparison with other Cat III shockers (a little gore with some of the action happening off screen) and this is where the film suffers; I was hoping for a truly bizarre and twisted classic offering some really unique scenes — what I got was OK, but not as amazing as I had hoped. A movie with such a deliciously lurid title should have gone much further (in fact, the best gore comes during the brief fights rather than the torture scenes, with severed arms and heads flying through the air and wounds spouting blood).

This remainder of the film consists of more sex and torture, right up to the closing credits. Producer Wong Jing is no stranger to this kind of sleaze and knows what his audience wants; the story comes second to the nudity and violence. The women are all hot babes and regularly shed their clothes to get it on, and, in between the sex, we get some gratuitous violence to ensure that undemanding fans of Cat III films are kept happy.

Not the extreme classic sleazefest I was hoping for, but entertaining enough.

      A delirious and twisted sequel

What more can i say , im a category III fan and this was the follow up to one of the most well known and sleazy movies of its kind! For those of you who are squeamish or offended easily then you probably shouldnt read on... This sequel is actually a whole lot better and more fun than i expected with some truly despicable torture scenes which are pure fantasy of course!!..im not that depraved!! Quite a good plot which you cant often say in these types of movies, but actually less sleaze than the original, but what it lacks in this department it sure makes up for in cruelty!...dismemberment, sodomy , horrific torture and blood a plenty flow after the 30 minute mark with some humour thrown in for good measure, one scene that really disturbed me was a flashback to a childhood abuse scenario intercut with a vicious rape with a paintbrush!!...personally i preferred the original, but this is a whole lot better than i imagined and well worth seeing if your a fan of extreme/catagory III cinema, since when is bad taste illegal?? =^,^=

Doesn't live up to the first

While watchable, this one pales in comparison to the first of the series.

First, the torture is almost an afterthought. Usually brief and not much. There is some gore but it's not usually from the torture.

Second, the story kind of wobbles. Every other scene kind of goes sideways meaning they become separate from the main story. Usually to give space for violence, gore or sex and finally coming back to connect to the main story again. There just wasn't enough in the plot for which I figured out the ending about halfway into this movie.

The sex scenes did not impress me. Missing the humor in the sex scenes of the first film. But the story is always more important to me. Just did not find those scenes erotic, exciting or funny.

This is watchable but a disappointment after the first film of the series.

      Less fun, more sex.

After the unbelievably sweet original I was pretty rearin' to go to see this one. Unfortunately it didn't really mimic the original in anyway besides....the Chinese Torture. Instead it went for a more serious tone which kinda left me feeling neutral about the film the entire way through. The first one had all types of creativity and actually had some good laughs, but this one focused more on adult issues like loyalty and adultery. If you haven't seen the first, you should be absolutely fine with how this plays out. It's only after a couple days seeing the sequel am I now in that state. I was really hoping for more naked flying sex people, and people jumping out of their skin. One thing the sequel did do better than the first, because of it's new found tone, is handle sex scenes better. There are some real hot and heavy sex scenes in this one. I can easily say I enjoyed the first more, but this one delivered the goods in certain areas. Don't hesitate to check this film out if you're looking for some Chinese Torture Story action.
