    Some what good, maybe

All in all it was a good movie, Teri Hatcher turns from computer geek to a tough broad. Didn't see much of Rob Lowe, but that was his role in the film. The are two things though, It looks like it was made for cable, cause throughout the movie some profanity was dubbed out, and second In the "Bathroom" scene, I was wondering where she got the handgun? I mean she said she was afraid and didn't know how to use one. She didn't have it in the bag she brought, and it wasn't in the truck where she took the Rifle. So I guess it was overlooked. So maybe someday will see it on cable or in our local video stores.

    Teri Hatcher with a gun!

Yes, Teri Hatcher enjoys some nice gun action in this movie, and when her character is allowed to be strong, she has moments where she takes your breath away. But she is too often forced to utter unrealistic (under the circumstances) wisecracking dialogue (like in the scene where she first meets Rob Lowe), or even more painful "serious" - "emotional" dialogue. Another reviewer said that she sucks as a mother, but personally I feel she should get some kind of Best Mother award just for never attempting to kill her son with her bare hands, because he really is an obnoxious jerk. As for the movie itself, the unusual device of dropping the viewer right into the middle of the action grips you at first, but then the script starts piling on the stupid plot twists. All in all, a passable techno-thriller. (**)

    Why

Enjoyable. Fast-paced, especially at the beginning, will grip you. This is good. Story is no-nonsense, especially at the beginning, it doesn't wait for you, you have to hurry to catch up. This is as it should be.

Lowe is OK in his role, so are the others, Hatcher is very very good. Cox is a real treat.

But these are artists one assumes trying to make a bit of a comeback. There are so many movies like this, made for TV, and they all go the same way - why?

For there is little wrong with the directing, or the editing, or the music, or the special effects, or the acting.

It's always the screenplay. It's always the screenplay which fades, perhaps just a bit, just enough to make the movie dip down in your esteem beneath the "this is great" level - just enough so that said actors, directors, editors etc. never get the second chance they work so hard for.

But see this one. Made for TV rarely gets better.

    Snoozefest

I'm watching it now and I'm losing interest as it goes on. The writing is nothing but clichés and one liners and the plot is implausible. I like both Teri Hatcher and Rob Lowe but their talents are wasted in this mess of a movie. I'd rather watch paint dry.

Why was this film even made

Admittedly I've seen a lot of bad films in my time but this has to be one of the worst films I've ever seen. First of all the plot is really ridiculous and there is no apparent beginning and the ending isn't all that great either. The fact that there is no beginning proves that the director obviously thought it would be a good idea to push the viewer into the middle of the action to get the instant involvement but it only serves to confuse and annoy. Secondly the plot is way too complicated for its own good. The story has a lot of twists and turns and they are obviously there to keep the audience guessing as to what might happen next. However, again I must say that it only succeeds in confusing and annoying the viewer. People really aren't looking for a really deep, complicated storyline in a TV-action movie. Now as for the actors they are generally really bad. Teri Hatcher is completely uninteresting and sucks as a mother. I'd be really sad to have her as my mother. Rob Lowe who is actually a decent actor but he does some of the worst acting throughout his entire career. Trevor Blumas... well Trevor Blumas sucks. Not at a single time is he believable. He sucks throughout the entire movie.

All in all a really poor effort 2 out of 10
