I Loved this Movie! It was adorable and sweet... very comical, too! A great Holiday film for the family. The acting is wonderful- especially the boys! If you have the chance to watch it- don't miss it- It's A Must SEE for any fan of Romantic-Comedies!!!
George Newbern was so handsome as the overseer of a Boy's Home.... and Roma Downey was pretty with her blonde hair. A perfectly matched couple!
Sons of the Mistletoe is the Best 'made for TV' Holiday Program!

I love this movie. It is very heartwarming and a movie that makes you feel good about people.Great to see Roma Downey in a movie,I love her in Touched By An Angel.Any fan of hers will surely enjoy watching this movie. It is one that I will watch and enjoy many times in the future. If you like Lifetime movies or Hallmark movies,I think you would enjoy this movie. A movie everyone in the family can watch. I would recommend this movie as one to be enjoyed during the holidays. If you have not seen it,watch it when it is shown on TV,I think you will enjoy it.A small town with some great people in it to bring out the best in each other.Just a real feel good type movie that makes you smile after watching.
Touched by an Angel star Roma Downey stars as heiress Helen Radke, who returns to her hometown to sell all of her estranged father's belongings and settle his estate. She also threatens to sell a boy's orphanage, run by Jimmy Adams (George Newbern), during Christmas time.
It is interesting seeing Downey, known for her portrayal of the kind angel Monica in Touched by an Angel, play a cold character role, which makes the movie captivating. The story itself is pretty good and heartfelt, as it is captivating seeing how the people try get through with the heiress in saving the orphanage. Seeing how Helen deals with the smart aleck Wylie Armstrong (Scott Terra) is also entertaining.
The acting is quite good and the plot pacing is steady. Overall, one of the better holiday TV movies out there.

Some films are diminished by predictable story lines. This is not one of them. Rather, the very fact that one could almost call out what was going to happen, scene after scene, was in some strange way suspenseful: would I guess right? Yes! Oh, I am so glad!
Maybe this was due in part to the unfamiliarity of seeing Roma Downey playing the heavy for a change. Then again, it was not only her scenes where this happens. She came across as believable, once I got over the fact that here, she's no angel. It was nice to see her with a character that has a bit of growing to do. Another definite plus: the boys from the home played off each other nicely. I got the impression that these young actors truly cared about each other, as much as their characters did.
This is not a movie to get one's teeth into. It is a bit of a schmaltzy tear-jerker, with which to warm your soul on a cold winter evening. It is comfortable and delightful, with just the right touch of romance and the Christmas spirit.

This is the first Christmas movie my sweet fiancé and I have watched for 2018. We love Hallmark-esque Christmas movies, and I had this one in a box set. She chose it, out of all the movies in the set, and we were not disappointed whatsoever.
It's got some small issues in the acting, especially with how Roma Downey seems like she doesn't want to be here at all, nor do I understand why ANYONE would be able to fall in love with her character. But our lead actor and the orphans he takes care of are pretty much all enjoyable, and heartwarming.
This was definitely a sweet film, but there is a plot twist I'm not sure I liked very much, even though it was definitely in the Hallmark mentality.
Not many Christmas films in these box sets I own tend to FEEL like Christmas movies, but this one definitely does. I love the orphanage house, and the decorations that get put-up inside it. It just made this film more special.
Yeah, it's a little cheesy for some people, but I actually prefer flicks like this. No cursing, no sexual content I have to worry about letting my kids hear (if I'm blessed with them, some day). It's a nice, cozy, Christmas family film.
Props to the folks who worked on this flick.
