    worth watching

    Summary:

Alex and Grant are now married, but they still haven't been on their honeymoon since Alex can't find the time. The President Jonathan Hayes has a girlfriend, Cathy, who is having a hard time adjusting to the spotlight, whilst Jess is getting ready to have a great birthday party.

Meanwhile in Oregon a militia group blow up an army base killing several, which gets the President's attention, who then decides to go there and make a speech, not knowing that he is the original target, but why is there another shot after the President is down? With Grant's help Alex discovers that the President wasn't the only target.

The movie starts off with a flashback from "First Daughter" where the militia group gets caught and for a moment I thought i was actually watching that all over again, but no, this was the beginning of First Shot, Alex(Mariel Hemingway is blonde in this one) and Grant (Doug Savant has a full beard this time) are married and we weren't invited to see the wedding ceremony. Agent Courtney Robinson is trying to prove that the new guy agent Owen Taylor (Sebastian Spence looks great in this role) is not gay so she may stand a chance with him, but her partner Doug says otherwise and that's all the fun in the movie there is. The President gets a girlfriend causing problems with how his teenage daughter Jess (She's Libby the mean girl from "Sabrina the teen witch") has to adjust to that and oh yes then the President gets shot.(Gregory Harrison looks great. Huge margin though, in For Ladies Only we get to see him in almost nothing, in this we get to see his belly and that's it. Joking, he does a great job as his recurring role as the President)I'd give it a 7/10.

    Boring

Yawn, there are about 3 scenes that are actually ok. The cast is much better than the script. Hemingway is acceptable in this one, better than usual for her. If you have nothing to do and want to watch something that will put you to sleep, this is the movie for you.

    Absolute Bad

Maybe the worst movie ever produced concerning the President and the Secret service. A complete and utter disgrace to the Presidents office and the secret service. Don't see this its horrible .. The Director clearly didn't know anything about what he was directing. Compare it to The West Wing and it makes you want to puke. I know this was before 9/11 but to think it was like this before you could think this was done in the 1970 when it came to details.

Rubbish ..and no wonder none of the really went on to bigger roles after being in this movie except for the guy that is currently on Desperate Housewives but this must have been a straight to VHS movie if I ever seen one.

Who would pay to see this.

    Great!

This is a totally enjoyable movie. I love the series. It's great. I am not a big "Action Movie" Freak, so when I saw the first movie, I thought yeah another action no plot movie, but I was wrong!!!! It was really good! This is a great set of movies. I totally recommend Then!

    phony from the onset

One of the bombers of the fictional army base was a first lieutenant dade that was wearing a heavily decorated uniform, like 15 ribbons ... he would have to been a lt for 15 years to merit those kinds of decorations so everything after that was a waste of time...except they could have cast someone other than doug savant, the loser as hemmingway's boyfriend ... just awful.

    • Trivia
Jenna Leigh Green takes over the role of Jess Hayes, the President's daugher previously played by Monica Keena in the first film, First Daughter. The character didn't appear in the second film in the trilogy First Target.
    • Goofs
The opening scene where it shows an assassin assembling a revolver with a grip under the barrel for the left hand he also attaches a silencer to the barrel. He then adds a shoulder stock to the grip. The gap between the cylinder and the barrel is still exposed. Having a silencer is pointless because the gap is exposed and gas and sound will escape from there. In addition, he takes a speed loader with the cartridges already in it, removes the cartridges, and puts the round in one by one. The whole idea of the speed loader is to load them all at the same time.
