A Jewish girl and black boy run away from there lives, find each other and win a house.

This movie was good -- at least I thought it was -- it may have been very weird, but I still thought it was good. If you like bizarre movies this one is it. Independent movies are so much fun aren't they? I have to say that I did get a little confused because they kept talking about the Nazis and Jews, but that could be because I missed the very beginning. But I really just like the parts where almost nothing is happening but what you really need to hear, the parts that really matter. But what could matter more than the three main Characters? I thought that they where very well portrayed, however, I thought that some of the smaller roles were a little too...how do I put this? I guess just too over the top. All in all I just thought this movie was fun.

One of the worse movies ever.

This movie is a total mess. For the record, I love smart original off-beat independent movies. This one tries to be that but instead is a huge disaster in trying to be too artsy. The writing and directing both suck big time. None of it makes any sense. The director tries way too hard to be creative and over the top, but instead the scenes all come off as invented on the spot. Only positive point: the 3 main actors are likable despite it all. The rest of the cast is totally incompetent and over-acts badly. Even as a really bad film school project, I would still give it an "F".

STAY AWAY FROM THIS WASTE OF TIME!

    Deep and Rich Film

Jack & Ella blew me away. It's an independent video, and the look is professional, as is the sound. I think it's not the director's first feature... I could be wrong. This film is from Canada, though it really could be anywhere in North America.

The main female leads were outstanding, especially Amy Sloan. The secondary characters were also excellent.

Keesal's work reminded me of other ensemble directors, like Robert Altman, and P T Andersen. The editing and sound work were full of imagination, and the camera work was very edgy. I hope that Brenda Keesal will weave many more tales!
