Seljaci

There are several excellent actors in this movie, listed in order of their appearance: rabbit, dog, cow, 2 chickens and roast duck. The rests are absutelly horrible. Equipment from 1929 was used for visual and sound effects. I'd rather have a pineapple inserted violently into my rectum than watch this movie again.

This is perhaps the worst movie ever made in Serbia. Utter stupidity of lines, pointless directing, improbable story, cheap political agenda, and cheesy attempt on social comment, all wrapped up in the product which clearly caters to poorest taste. "Seljaci" is the decadent offspring of prolific maker of countryside movies, targeted to countryside dwellers in a need of a few laughs, and definitely not in a need of cinematic subtlety. Some of Lazic's works from the eighties bore the clear marks of inventiveness...IMHO, this is especially case with underestimated "Sekula i njegove zene" (1986), comedy of tempers which was conceived as yet another redneck fun, but born as flawed masterpiece. This is not the case with "Seljaci"...this thing is so poorly designed that it can hardy be called a movie.
