When I was 10 or so, this was 7 years ago mind, this was on almost Christmas. It is a shame really that I haven't heard from it for like three years. But I will say from the many times I saw it when it was on, as we recorded it on tape but have sadly lost the video since then, it is a real underrated Christmas treasure. The animation is wonderful, with lovely colours and backgrounds, and the story is simple and heart warming. I thought the inclusion of the little carol singers was most charming, and when the book Wind in the Willows is adapted there have been times when this sweet scene has been left out. The script is true to that of Kenneth Grahame's book, which is just amazing and so imaginative. The length is just right, and went along at a perfect pace. What made Mole's Christmas was the vocal talents of Peter Davison and Richard Briers as Mole and Rat, two great actors who did an exceptional job. All in all, a delightful and underrated Christmas treat. 10/10 Bethany Cox
Lovely sounds just fair to define this short film reminding not only sweet way to see Christmas, but all the great flavors of Wind in the Willows.
It is more than a beautiful short Christmas animation but a touching eulogy of friendship, help, childhood universe, help and comfortable Christmas Eve after a long way, not the most easy.
So, the gift is the pleasant, to useful state of heart after its end, because it works more than inspired, moment by moment, proposing soft, warm atmosphere and so familiar but nice redescovered characters.
In short, a special short animation, the vulnerable Mole and the so realistic Rat proposing the beautiful gift for entire family.

Mole's Christmas is really the perfect christmas cartoon or special. I've seen a lot of Christmas programming and this one is on par with The Grinch. What makes it so good? It isn't cheesy and about the quest for the true meaning of christmas (The only good one about that is the Grinch). The story is heartwarming; the animation is colorful. It was taken from The Wind in The Willows, and is just as good as the chapter it is based on. I first saw Mole's Christmas on CBC here in Canada. I had to have it, I knew I should have taped it! So began my quest to find it on VHS. It was released on VHS but now it is out of stock, but I bought on moviecd format. Simply it is a movie on a CD-ROM. Another great thing is that Mole's Christmas is that it's part of a series, The Wind in The Willows Collection. There are two more titles in this series, and you can get those ones also. This is one of the best cartoons I've ever seen. Buy it or tape it if you see it on TV in the christmas season. You won't regret it. Without a doubt 10/10, and this is only the 2nd 10/10 I've ever given.
We were given a cast off video from my Grandma. My daughter loved it from day one. 20 years later she still insists on watching it on Christmas Eve.
