                          Excellent Game

Medal of honor: allied assault is excellent shoot up and a brilliant WW2 game because of the weapons, AI , lots of mission, excellent music score and great graphics. The game hundreds of chloregraph set pieces and the multiplayer is pretty good but you need a good computer to run this game but it is still an excellent game

The Second Best Game I have EVER played

it was june of 2003 when i decided to begin the medal of honor series at long last. i was told it was absolutely fantastic and that i should own all of them. well, i started with this one. going through operation torch was fun, and the norway mission was great when the undercover part came up. then, it was time for operation overlord. now, when i got this game, i had never seen saving private ryan and i had heard a great deal about how this game was influenced by the movie (hell, this game influenced me to finally see that movie). i knew normandy played a crucial role in world war II, but i didn't really know exactly what happened.

well, the higgins boat sped along, the AI barfed and looked nervous, then came the whistle and the MG 42 fire came stormin in. at this point, i had tears in my eyes, not because of the loss of my comrades, but the view of the beach, the sounds of artillery fire, the intensity of running up to that shingle. a familiar tingle trickled in me, much like it did in thief. i was absolutely astonished at this scene.

after beating this game, i later began my hunt for the games. i now own every single one except for rising sun, which i will get for x-mas.

also, this game influenced my renewed spirit to study world war 2 as leisure. i still am learning and enjoying about it with my free time

thank you, EA, thank you for such a brilliant game!

Terrific Game, D-Day Level is Amazing...However, the Expansion Pack is Much Better...

In "Medal of Honor: Allied Assault," you get to play as a Sergeant in World War II. You go behind enemy lines in France, rush the frontline on D-Day, and even get to drive a tank around.

However, the expansion pack, "Spearhead," is ten times better. The graphics, the sound, the environment, and the levels are much better. I recommend you pick up the MEDAL OF HONOR ALLIED ASSAULT DELUXE EDITION like I did, which contains both games, as well as a preview of the upcoming Pacific MOH game. Oh, it also comes with walkthrough guides, for all the cheaters out there.

4/5 for MOH: AA, 5/5 for SPEARHEAD.

                          The Best FPS Since Half-Life

This is one of THEE best games i have ever played. Everything about it is perfect. The Single player missions are challenging while fun to do (with the exception of the sniper level where i wanted to put an axe through the monitor). The Omaha beach level (mission 3) is worth the price of the game all together. Just watching it being played is amazing. The sound in the game is amazing. Each sound is different depending on where a bullet hits, what a bullet hits, where you are and so on and so on. The music is some of the best i've heard in a game. It's suspenseful when it needs be, etc. etc. for each type of situation. Multiplayer can be laggy sometimes but it still makes for a hell of a good time. The Omaha beach objective-match level is amazing and hella fun to play with others. The AI in the game is very impressive. german soldiers will shoot around corners, throw grenades to fish you out, and lie down behind hills and hide in bushes. Very smart and well done.

I read many times about people complaining because there is no blood in the game. I don't see what the big deal is about it. Blood i don't say adds anything to the game, it's just as fun without it (EA i think also stated that german uniforms were so thick that blood would not be visible when shot, however this doesn't explain head shots).

All in all, one of the best games of all time.

                          Half-and-half

Now, I'm really into WW2. A lot. I consider it one of the most important events in world history (as do a lot of people), and I am humbled and grateful for the sacrifices given by the millions of people who died for the cause of freedom. Which is why I feel guilty whenever I play the D-Day mission of this game. It is, in effect, an interactive snuff film. A simulated depiction of the actual deaths and horrors that happened many years ago on the beaches of France. All in the name of entertainment. I find it hard to believe a game could charade as a memorial to the war dead, whilst simultaneously providing us with the chance to safely take part in a situation that NO-ONE on this earth should ever have to experience. But, having got the rather immoral taste of the games selling-point out of my mouth, I can go on to praise the rest of it. Doing everything RTCW did not, MOH:AA provides the player with a variety of interesting and varied missions, presented in a professional looking package with enough atmosphere to give you the 1000 yard stare. MOH will have you pricking your ears up one minute, listening for the tell-tale footsteps of a Nazi patrol, and the next you'll be in the back of a jeep trying to shoot Stuka dive-bombers out of the sky. MOH has some fantastic missions, too varied to mention here, all of which provide a great scenario to admire the obvious time and effort that has gone into this game. Good AI, decent graphics (a little hardware-demanding though), a superb music score and lot's of finely crafted details. The way you can work in tandem with other computer-controlled characters adds a lot of feeling to this game, as you sneak about ruined towns, watching for snipers. All of the missions are moderately realistic, with a hint of action-film thrown in for good measure. A few faults can prove annoying, the main one being the die-and-retry nature of some of the missions (especially those sniper ones) but, to be fair, this is war and you don't get second chances with a bullet. I like this game a lot, and it pains me that the D-Day mission was so callously added. EA have removed the gore in this game as a mark of respect, and then preceded to lift the opening scene from Saving Private Ryan lock, stock and barrel into the game. It doesn't even fit into the plot; you're supposed to be some kind of Special Op's. Why would they send a special unit onto the beach head? You're too valuable. Still, this is only a personal niggle about an otherwise great game. The multiplayer is *ok*, but it shoots itself in the foot by trying to be realistic, when it really wants to be Wolfenstein. But that's what mods are for.

Colonel Hargrove: Lt. Powell, i'm Col. Hargrove from the Office of Strategic Services, the O.S.S. Our branch specializes in covert operations usually deep behind enemy lines. Espionage, Sabotage, Infiltration, that's the business we're in lieutenant. As you know, Germany's famed Afrika Corps has captured key locations along the subterranean, and is now digging in. Our response in coordination with our British allies is an invasion of North Africa. The attack is codenamed, Operation Torch. This is it lieutenant! Our first large scale offensive of the war. While everything you hear in this room is classified and top secret, what i'm about to tell you is extremely sensitive, and only known by a select few. The German's have positioned artillery batteries along the coast, several of which overlook our intended landing zone. Our British S.A.S. operative has penetrated the town of Arzes along the Algerian Coast. His mission was to sabotage these batteries, then give the signal to start the invasion. Yesterday, all contact with that agent was lost. The enemie's artillery positions remain intact and the S.A.S. officer's capture, could compromise the entire operation. You and a small team of your fellow rangers will infiltrate Arzew under the cover of darkness. Your goal is to destroy the coastal batteries and rescue the agent. You'll receive specific details once you're in the field. The S.A.S. operative is Major Jack Grillo, a man i've known for years. He would never allow himself to give up what he knows to the Germans so please just find him, before he has no choice but to take drastic measures. No doubt about it this is a critical mission. Your team has trained hard, and i have every confidence you'll get the job done. Good luck!
