I thought the film had the same kind of touching sentiments as the Hallmark movies. I wish I had a copy of it on tape. It was funny and heart-warming. If you get a chance to see it, it is definitely worth your time. I already emailed CBS and told them they should start putting their movies on video, starting with this one.
I just wanted to say that i just loved this movie. David and Terry were both just wonderful. I love this movie and i watch it every time it comes on TV. I would love to buy this movie if it ever comes up for sale. We need more of this kind of movie these days, all we have is murder and gory kinds of movies. We need better movies for our kids to watch. My little great grandson watches this with me and he just loves it. We always watch a movie on Friday or Saturday nights and if i had this movie at home we would watch it every Friday night. I will watch Beaches tonight and i have watched it at least 100 times if not more. I guess i am just an old romantic about these good movies. Thanks so much for letting me make my comments. Please make more movies like this.

Back in the day, like when THIS movie was directed and produced, well, the title says it all. I've seen it once so far and have never forgotten it. And frankly, I won't add spoilers. It was so refreshing to find a truly loving movie that isn't just filled with the same old sugary stuff ad nauseum...I have been waiting for years to SEE THIS AWESOME MOVIE AGAIN!
All I can say is: Don't miss this movie: you will not be disappointed. It is One True Feelgood.
I too believe Dana's theory on finding that "One True Love". I am into romance and love stories. This movie proved to be very enjoyable and I cannot fault Terry Farrell's performance, being a writer I criticize writing in all the movies I watch, seeing a couple previous to this one, I trashed them very nicely and thought of ways I could have written them, better. Trying to do the same with this one, I couldn't, this movie was perfectly written. One of my many faults is also putting different actors in place of the ones already in the movie, that I tried and again failed to be able to do so. It was perfectly cast as well. I recommend this movie to anyone who interested in good romance. I can't wait for CBS to reair this movie, because I will definitely watch it again.
I agree with all the previous comments- Every thing clicked in this movie for me. Lots of twist and turns. One of those movies that I can watch over and over - and have since I made a copy of it (If anyone needs a copy of this let me know - I recorded it digitally off a satellite feed and can make good copies).
This reminded me of another movie - The Last Fling - back in the 1980's, starring Connie Sellecca and John Ritter. Another light romantic comedy you can watch over and over. The ending in both very similar.

- GoofsJust prior to the BMW crash, it is shown to be driving at a very slow speed (especially compared to the fire department truck), perhaps 10-15 MPH. From a speed of 20 MPH, the car would stop in about 20-30 feet once the brakes were applied. It would not slide the long distance shown and retain enough energy to go through the guard wires on the side of the road.
