Really lame Faces Of Death wannabe. Jungle natives performing open-skull surgery is the "highlight" here, supplemented by footage of animals attacking other animals and people follow, in scenes culled from several other European horror flicks, and from decades-old newsreels.

It looks like someone put this together in his living room one night, using nothing more than two VCRs and a handful of old, obscure (at that time) movies on video, and a bit of beer. Most footage presented here is high generation,, probably third or fourth generation at least, so its crummy, degenerating audio and picture quality don't help matters, either.

The fact that it just isn't very competent, coherent, or interesting also doesn't help.

It all started with the Mondo Cane (60's) flicks that brought us cruelty from Africa. Afterwards Faces of Death (1980) was thrown just in front of us. It was a big issue then but with the release on Blu Ray it came clear that almost everything was faked. But both series had a lot of success so some people intended to go further on cruelty and brutal reality. So at the end of the eighties Inhumanities was thrown in our faces. Still to today it's hard to find some decent copies of the documentary. It's only available on VHS mostly coming from US rental shops. I was lucky to catch one. Most of it contains animal cruelty between animals but also between hunters. Some are indeed not for the squeamish becomes those animals are killed in a primitive way, for example with stones or spears. It contains also some weird operations done in a savage way and again it will be for some a bit too creepy. You will see some open head surgery without anesthesia. The most important part for me were the shots made in Congo were you see Belgium soldiers killing some rebels. Other shots from Congo are also a bit cruel. It's pure revenge between black and white. Sadly the part with the cannibals is as fake as it can be. Shots are taken from D'Amato's Emanuelle and the last cannibals. If you know the movie then you surely will recognize it. But overall, it's worth watching...if you can take it.
