In the early 1990s, The American television programme Entertainment Tonight attracted a loyal following on British TV when it started being broadcast on SKY television.

Entertainment Express was a weekly BBC programme that was on a similar format. Selina Scott and John Leslie presented the latest news about movies, television, pop music, home entertainment products and video games. There were also reports from Los Angeles on American show business.

It was a decent, fast moving show in a world where such showbiz news was not instantly available as it is in today;s internet age. Sadly the series only lasted the one season.
