VALERIE, as it is known in the US was originally shot in order to raise money from investors to produce a feature film with that title. Sometime during the shooting, it was decided to complete the project as an independent entity and titled SANGRE SONGES for a European release. Because of a screw up by Femme Fatales editor Bill George, the US version was known as VALERIE, rather than BLOOD DREAMS, as was the intention of the Producer/Director Jay Lind. No matter what the movie is called, however, it is an erotic tour d force... Maria Pechukas, all willowy and petite, has never been more beautiful and Debbie Rochon is so darkly sexual that she'll fuel the sexual fantasies of both male and female viewers for decades to come. There is a graceful and pervasive lesbianism which suffuses the movie with an erotic charge that has seldom been matched on film. The tone of the movie is surreal, bordering on bizarre, with an outlaw sexuality. Visually stunning, as with all Jay Lind Films, VALERIE is a tasty treat for Vampire Lesbian Fans everywhere!
