The self proclaimed braggart, scoundrel and thief cons friends and the audience in a hilarious and mesmerizing stage performance.

Harry Anderson (Dave's World, Night Court) performs his stand-up magic act for a packed house in this Showtime special. The self proclaimed braggart, scoundrel and thief cons friends and the audience in a hilarious and mesmerizing stage performance. Harry Anderson shows his true gift, the slick smile and sharp words as he performs some of his most famous magic routines. He insults the audience while taking their money, he sticks a needle through his arm and the finale is the age old three card monte with a twist, the cards are two feet tall! This is a unique performance, its fun and fast. The con man segments that break the routine into small segments are fun games, though if you've seen Harry perform on "Cheers", you've seen them before. A fun cameo from John Laroquette comes towards the end. Be sure to stick around for Harry's exit from the club where he lifts a line from "Guys & Dolls", and goes one better by actually performing the silly warning/miracle on the street outside the club. Catch this one on video if you can, it's worth it!

Harry Anderson makes getting ripped off Fun!

Harry Anderson is left handed. This becomes a part of his act (Sinister means "Left Handed" after all.) He began as one of those people who set up a table on a street corner and offer to let you gamble with a little 3-card-monty. Everyone wins at first; everyone loses in the end. It's a confidence game. His act is a confidence game. Anderson shows you what he's doing, shows you he's making a sucker out of the audience, and makes you enjoy the experience. He constantly reminds you he's running a con, from the stage, and makes you like it.

Part magic act; part con game; all fun. Favorite line? "He just gave me $20 and I just spit in her drink."

Harry: This is what I love about this country: I took their money. I didn't have to say please or nothing. Just got finished spitting in her drink. I tore it up, I burned it up, I fucked it up real good. I called him a dildo. I ignored him completely. Then I gave them their money back. Then for no apparent reason, they gave the money back to me! I love this country.
