    Gay porn hit is amusing

The Amero Bros. teamed up with Michael Findlay for this cleverly titled porn comedy, a funnier than usual entry for the Gay Theater circuit. It holds up pretty well 35 years later.

Opening with shots of the Twin Towers and NYC harbor, it's a picaresque tale of David Savage as David, fresh off the boat from Naples. His pet chicken Giuseppe is immediately stolen on the snow-covered streets of Manhattan by a Latino mugger brandishing a knife, after latter demands: "Your chicken or your life".

Angelo and Michael run a travel agency, with Michael being David's uncle, in charge of watching over him in the Big Apple. Out sightseeing David is picked up by "Marc 10-1/2", Marc Stevens in a rare gay role in a feature film. Their enthusiastic sex scene at Marc's place indicates which side of the AC/DC line was Stevens' sweet spot. A huge double dong dildo is employed here and David voices over: "This sure beats making it with my chicken Giuseppe".

A running gag concerning Joan Crawford (a client for the travel agency) is cleverly integrated into the action, and Michael Findlay dubs the voice for the subservient Angelo character.

After David humps Angelo, the Italian youngster is picked up en route to the UN Bldg. by Stanley Richards, who later starred for the Amero Bros. as the serial killer in KILLING ME SOFTLY. While Richards humps him at his apartment, David writes on a post card home: "The UN is a pain in the ass".

Michael throws a farewell party for David that is merely an orgy. It's interrupted by a phone call from Joan Crawford, inviting Michael to marry her on the set of her new film FLAMINGO TOAD.

As David trudges to the boat in the snow, the mugger gives him back Giuseppe the chicken, but David pines for the man of his dreams, Marc. Marc arrives on the boat to smooch for a happy ending, the closing shot being the Twin Towers again. That's reason enough to revive this forgotten opus on the big screen.
