    Extremely Bad

This film begins with a young boy being physically abused by his father. Twenty years later "Marvin" (Mike Botouchis) is riding in a car with his girlfriend "Sally" (Lani Ford) back to where he used to live many years earlier. It's during this time that Sally accidentally hits a man in the middle of the road and upon getting out to investigate Marvin is bitten by what appears to be a zombie. As luck would have it, a couple of people arrive on the scene and manage to rescue the two of them and take them back to a compound which has been built recently by a para-military religious cult. It's there that they are introduced to "Jeffrey" (Bob Elkins) who completely controls all of his followers and is allowed to do whatever he wants. To that extent, he has Marvin taken to a sadistic doctor of sorts who attends to his wounds while at the same time subjecting him to physical pain in order to brainwash him into compliance. Sally, on the other hand, is treated differently as Jeffrey has other plans for her. Meanwhile, hordes of zombies are lined up on the fence trying to get in the compound while members of Jeffrey's cult take turns keeping them at bay. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this could have been a really good zombie movie if the director (Jeff Dunn) knew what he was doing. Unfortunately, rather than focusing on a smooth and coherent plot, he inundated the film with one cheap special effect scene after the other-some of which were quite good while others were quite bad. Good editing could have helped immensely. Likewise, the acting talent was adequate enough but rather than improving upon it with a good script he chose to do the exact opposite by throwing in more cheap special effects and repetitive action scenes. That being said, what could have been a good film turned out to be extremely bad and I have rated it accordingly.

    Troma Look Out!

If you love Troma flicks, you will love this film! The viewer should consider first that the intent of the movie is to mock both culture and the genera, and at that it does an _excellent_ job! The "cheap" Blair Witch feel and mountains of gore will have you rolling with laughter and squirming with disgust.

Since this was filmed around the Cincinnati area, I had the unique opportunity of seeing a sneak peek back in college. Ever since I obtained that first rough-cut preview from a friend, I spent a lot of time looking for the final version of the movie for my collection. Only recently did I manage to obtain it, and I am still impressed. The imagery of granola hippy zombies and ultra right-wing religious zealots continue to delight me as it will fans of this type of cult hit.

    Also check out "Redneck Zombies".

the z grade movies started in 1998

Well badly shot, amateur, bad acting you know the drill its all the same.

Why even bother, they still makes those movies in 2021. This one had 0 potential but at least it was at the start of the zombie movies that keep coming out each and every week.

    Avoid at all cost.

    Original but disappointing.

Zombie Cult Massacre is an interesting zombie flick but its not all that good.

Zombie Cult Massacre is about a couple who is on a car trip but gets into an accident with a zombie which gets them mixed up with a religious cult. Outside of the cult there are zombies roaming about. Later a gang of bikers get involved with the cult and the zombies.Marvin (the new cult member)and the leader of the cult get into a feud which becomes a battle for power. Its like someone put a biker movie, a zombie movie and a movie about a cult in a blender and pressed mix.

The movie does contain a high gore content.

I like the general story of Zombie cult Massacre but gets to involved with religion and the cult that it takes away from the zombies which is the original plot.I wouldn't call Zombie Cult massacre a terrible movie just really disappointing. It could have been better.

    Drop dead awful

In my opinion the best zombie films are... Evil dead (1,2,and Army of darkness) Dawn of the dead (1978 only!) Day of the dead House of 1000 corpses Return of the living dead (1 and 2) Dead Alive

Some of the worst zombie films are... Buarial ground Night of the creeps Zombie lake Zombie high Zombie nightmare and yes ZOMBIE CULT MASSICRE

I remember reading a little ad for Zombie cult massacre in Fangoria magazine. Around a year later I found a video copy of this at Pawn America.I bought it expecting to see a good gory, scary film...I was wrong.I started to watch this movie with my father. He fell asleep 5 min. in.Its a good thing he would not want to see this.

PLOT:a couple end up getting mixed up with a religious cult.Outside the building of this cult place there are zombies. There is some nudity and sex in this, but that doesn't bother me (Im 16 year old male!)but when I see a woman getting anally raped because she did't say a bible line right, that is sick. There is also a lot of gore, which is cool but not enough to save this film.

This could have been a awesome Indy but nothing pays off.
