Son of Maryam

A most touching film the whole world should see. This film speaks volumes with very few words and shows the true love of God and neighbor. A must see. A very young Muslim boy befriends an elderly Catholic Priest. He gains an understanding of the love of the Mother of God and sees in Her a love he has lost in the loss of his own Mother. He is faithful to his own religion while curious and drawn to Catholicism. Tolerance is the norm amongst neighbors and a child's love for this old priest is very telling of the wisdom of God. Endearing, thought provoking and brilliantly created. A sadness is felt at the end of the movie that seems to parallel the state of the world today. If only life were as simple as a child sees it.
