      Fond memories and historical significance

I was a young boy in 2001 and looking back now, I'm certain I was the only kid in my class watching Bozo on WGN America. I loved it so much, the humor, the games and of course the unbeatable sense of fun.

Historically though, Bozo had weathered some serious changes in the children's TV landscape up to that point, from power rangers and ninja turtles to talking babies and Johnny Bravos. They had a good run regardless but I guess by 2001 this chapter of television history was about to close.

I was devastated when I found out from my Mom that Bozo wasn't coming back on. I liked Power Rangers and Rugrats as much as the next kid but Bozo was special. His was a kind of carefree fun I've rarely had watching TV since. I'm glad to hear David Arquette is on a mission to return Bozo to the public consciousness. Hopefully more kids in the 2020s discover him and he gets the love and administration from them that he deserves.
