    A really FUN Package Deal. . . . . .

It's rare to find good cartoons anymore. Makes you long for the majestic and genuine quality that the classics from yesteryear gave us, and still gives us when we watch them on the internet or pop in a DVD, if we've found them.

This cartoon series was quite unique and I sure miss it. Mini-Monsters, Karate Kat, Street Frogs, and Tiger Sharks! They all made for a fun time with watching cartoons on television. The only downer was that when it aired, I wasn't always able to watch my favorite of this collection: Karate Kat! It mixed action with plenty of goofy comedy, and I loved it! They always seemed to 'trade-off' appearances of the different ports as it was only a ½-hour series. Nevertheless, it was a fun show.

Tiger Sharks was more action than anything, and the stories were never dull. Mini-Monsters was, well....interesting. Street Frogs was musical and fun. All-in-all, I give it an 8 out of 10, as I couldn't always watch what I was hoping for. But this was a great Rankin-Bass installment!

    A wonder cartoon variety show...

This is sadly a great cartoon show that has somehow been forgotten by the masses. This show contained four cartoon shows ("The Mini-Monsters," "Street Frogs," "Karate Kat," and "Tigersharks") that were mixed together in small segments during each episode.

My personal favorite was "The Mini-Monsters." This show had a bunch of monster kids attending summer camp. There were a little vampire, Frankenstein monster, werewolf, mummy, witch, invisible man, and many more. There were only two humans that went to camp at Camp Mini-Mon, and they often tried to show the monsters what it was like to be "normal." It was a really fun show, and the monsters were not at all threatening for kids to watch.

"Street Frogs" had a group of street smart frogs that loved to sing and record rap tunes. They had some real style as they made their music. They had some really hip tunes (it is too bad there may never be a soundtrack).

"Karate Kat" was a crime-fighting cartoon with "meow, baby." This was a really fun show with a lead who was literally a cool cat.

"Tigersharks" was a show about a race of humanoids that lived under water. I do not remember much about this particular show because it was my least favorite of the four.

I think that everyone who loves cartoons should try to look up these titles. Each cartoon is available on video in separate installments. Some are even still on amazon. I especially love the "Mini-Monsters" video collection.

Capture A Tiger By The Tail

My brother and I used to get up at 7:00 AM just to watch the Comic Strip. I think our favourite show was the Tigersharks. I even remember the theme song.

You've got a tiger by the tail hold on Tigersharks, Tigersharks, Look for a human with a tail, Hold on Tigersharks.

    Hold on Tigersharks.

I didn't really care about the Street Frogs, the Mini Monsters, or Karate Cat. As long as I got to watch the Tigersharks then I didn't really care as far as that went. Of course I was 11 and I didn't really care anyways.

I haven't outgrown cartoons yet and I'm not about to out grow them either.

4 Great cartoon on one show...

This cartoon was a fun one to watch each afternoon just for the fact that you didn't know which combination of 2 out of the 4 shows were going to be shown. My favorite would be a tie between Tiger Sharks (It was on the lines of a Thundercats or Silverhawks) or Street Frogs.

I still remember part of the Street Frog song:

"Who can do Hip Hop better than a frog can.

    Street Frogs, Street Frogs.

I'm Big Max, call me Spider.

    Moose the Loose, Honeylove Loretta.

    Dr. Slick.

We're the Street Frogs. Ribbet, Ribbet, Ribbet. Street Frogs."

I don't know how I remember it, I just do.
