I suppose this is a pretty hard to find film. Well don't be like me and bother searching for it!
When I first heard about it, I didn't really know too much about it, but there was something which really intrigued me about the idea. So I managed to track down a copy, and I can assure you that I wasted my money on this one!
Okay, so I guess the first thing to mention is that the acting is utterly terrible! And the dialogue seems like it was written by someone who's spent their life hiding in their bedroom.
There's some blood in the film, but it's just so poorly done, that it's not appealing at all.
This was done on an ultra low budget. But that's no excuse for making such a bad film. What we are presented with is a stupid story, dumb characters, bad acting and terrible music.
I've now watched it two times, and still have the same opinion. Don't bother with this movie! It's not so bad that it's funny, it's just bad!
Oh, and as for Oliver... he looks like an idiot.. and perhaps they shouldn't have cast someone who's slightly overweight to appear in their underwear.

From the poster "The family secret is out," I knew this was going to be a good one. And it was. A stellar production, given the budget, this film is a must see. Especially impressive is the dialogue which is authentic and realistic, which is unusual for these kinds of movies. As well, the depth of the plot makes this one stand out from the other cookie-cutter slashers.
Particularly attractive is the Masters in Low Budget Filmmaking extra with William Grefe and Dean Gates that comes on the DVD - worth the price alone.
Two thumbs and two toes up.

My friend sent this movie. And I was like OK Cool so I watched it and like it.
The movie is about a Family and there deadly secret the movie stars Karen Black and Eric Estrada.
Mrs. Mary Happ's life is not so different from the lives of most middle class, abandoned mothers, raising a lovely popular high school senior daughter and a bright pleasant jr high school son a bit of a loner. Sure money is at times in short supply, but thats true for most of us.
And while the family doesn't live high off the hog the have a comfortable home at the end of a secluded lane on a pleasant little lake a few miles of outside of town. Mary Happ has a good job. Its only drawback: Mary must occasionally be away from home, several days at a time. But (Livvy the daughter) and (Jeff the son)are responsible when they have to be so Mary has a few reservations about leaving them to care for themselves when she must travel.
Their lives are almost painfully normal except for Oliver, a young man about 18 years old. Livvy and Jeff don't know Oliver. Their mother thought it better that way. They never would have known of their "cousin"--and only other living relative --but for an incident at the private intitution where he was confined for many years--naked in a totally bare room with no sharp corners the only furniture a slab of stainless steel upon which he slept. Somehow Oliver got loose and wreaked havoc on the institution and its staff. Subdued with massive doses of tranquillizer--too massive--Oliver fell into a coma from which it is doubtful he will ever emerge.
Oliver's condition now requires 24 hour nursing care which Mrs. Happ cannot afford. Oliver must go home where his family can care for his needs around the clock. Mrs. Happ accept the inevitable but is concerned that the family secret somehow gets out.
His presence in the Happ household is unobtrusive at first. Within a short time Jeff takes a keen interestin his cousin taking over most of the burden of his care. Its about this time a peculiar presence begins to make itself known within the circles where jeff and livvy travel. Its about this time people start dying...horribly. its about this time too that jeff and livvy discover the real truth about Oliver. its more then kids should be asked to handle. And Mrs. Happ is out of town. She cannot help them....Prehaps no one can.

I thought the movie was good I like it...
I nearly fell asleep when watching this... now I know I should have ended the boredom right after 10 minutes... A horror movie about a mad retarded siamese twin brother out for revenge that moves so unbelievable slow it hurts. There is not much of a plot here... most of the movie is filled with teenagers swimming, having fun and being shocked by at least 100 fake alarm attacks before the twisted Oliver finally attacks for real. What the hell was the director thinking when making a movie with that paper thin plot 103 Minutes long? At least 80 Minutes should have ended in the bin of the editing room. Looking at the career of the director this movie seems to have killed it. Erik Estrada and Karen Black are sure not too proud of their appearance in this piece of trash that was made in 2000 but has the feel of a bad 70s horror movie. The kills are lame, you barely see anything, there is no thrills anywhere, make up effects look fake and the music is nearly as ridiculous as the laughable psycho killer and his retarded laugh. Avoid this at any cost.
I wanted to see this film because of Karen Black. Not a bad film but not great either, slow moving the best part is the last half. The dialogue is terrible, the ending is strange except for the arm with the bracelet - liked that. Several parts stand out & overall I enjoyed it as I don't care for real bloody films. Liked Oliver very much, with that terrible make-up he came across with a vunerability I found sad. The sister got better as film progressed. On a scale of 1 to 10 I give it a 6. Would be an 8 with better writing.
