    sad memory of this period

never saw it , but how well I remember Mickey appearing on the Virginia Graham Show to promote it....(this was well after the series had been cancelled so I was interested to see what he was up to)...Mickey came out and described the plot of the film and then they showed a short clip...it was the big moment when his friend breaks the news that it's only a weed that' he's growing..when the clip was over they cut back to Mickey and he was doing some hammy fake crying over how touching it was. ..even as a young teen I could smell a stinker...it all seemed so sad to see one of the Monkees doing this just to keep working...as I got older I realized this happens to everyone at some time or another...and I wonder if this movie could be any worse than the pathetic Monkees reunion TV show from the 1990s

    Actually, pretty good

I am old enough to say I actually saw "Keep Off My Grass" when it came out in very limited release. Albeit somewhat "B" list, I found it culturally relevant, and Micky Dolenz's performance completely heart-rendering.

Dolenz said that his best performances were in "Head" and this movie. You need to open your mind to what it meant to be trapped in the early 70s drug culture. This movie exhibits all of it.

Perhaps he did not have a good publicist to help promote the movie's true meaning and its relevant Hollywood milestone within movie culture to ensure this movie's success. If you can find it now on DVD, video or download, buy it.

I did get to see the entire movie as a kid and I liked it!

Actually I think my mom has the copy that was my dad's. But I did see this movie twice, once in the 8th grade at I believe it was at Shelley Berman's home or some one else that was involved and then in the 9th grade, I took the movie to school. My teacher and I watched it to see if we could show it at school to make $$ for a field trip.(It only played in Europe) After watching it he said, "It would not be a proper film to show in the school." But he said he enjoyed it. I mean how can you watch a trailer and be able to tell if the movies good or not? I've seen trailers where it looks like it's going to be a good movie, but they put all the best bit's in the trailer. I still remember the songs and the words to "Look at You Man, Look at Me" and "Mother Jessica's Triple Sunshine Wine."
