This game continues the Evil Dead series in true fashion it is one hell of a good game! Bruce Campbell is just as funny as he was eight years ago. This is perfect for any Evil Dead fan and a great survival horror for any gamer! Not only does it continue traditions it continues the story which means you need to watch the films to make complete sense of it but is is still good to play even if your not sure what is going on. The only fault I could find the fact it rips off Resident Evil graphics and he moves badly but everything from the deadites to one-liners will entertain until the credits have rolled. Evil Dead Hail to the King is just like Sam Raimi has directed it.

This videogame which is the fourth installment in the Evil Dead trilogy. The bases of the game is that Ash returns back to the cabin and his girlfriend is kidnapped by Evil Ash. Ash must set to destroy Evil Ash and save his girlfriend. This game got me hooked from the start. I couldn't stop playing. I beat the game and the ending was a big plot twist. Go out and buy this game. You won't regret baby.
i am a big fan of The Evil Dead Trilogy and a huge fan of Bruce Campbell so when i heard about this game i was going crazy till it came out today i finally got it and it was worth the wait, Evil Dead Hail To The King is a very fun game it's alot like Resident Evil, Ash has some great lines in the game, but there are a few down sides your energy bar is not big enough one hit and your almost half gone, too many bad guys pop up at once making a bit too hard. and even though you do get alot of health by the time you pick it up another bad guy pops up, if you run they follow then you have to fight 2 guys, and your chainsaw needs gas after a while so you don't wanna waste it. despite all that i love the game, alot of people complain it's too hard and they are right but if you think about it if it was too easy what fun would the game be, but i do feel thq might have gone a bit overboard with making the game so hard, if you are a fan of horror/action/adventure games give Evil Dead Hail To The King a try and if you're a fan of the Evil Dead Trilogy buy this game for sure it rules getting to be Ash, i give Evil Dead Hail To The King 9/10 i would have given it a 10 but it's a bit too complicated at times but like i said this game does rule
This game sucked. And in response to the guy who says that if you don't like this game you aren't a fan. To show the level of commitment as a fan of Evil Dead, I have a tattoo themed of all three movies that completely covers my forearm. How is that for a fan? Anyways, I agree with most on the game. It was really hard to play and you ran out of gas for the chainsaw way too fast. Pick up Regeneration or Fistful of Boomstick if you want to play a decent ED game. The quips are better. The weapons are better. And Regeneration has some interesting Easter Eggs. I would consider Hail to the King a test to see if there was a market for ED based games. Ten lines can be a pain in the butt.
This game was great for the time period it was released. The intro movie and story to it is amazing, and picks up after where Army of Darkness left off, but once you start actually playing the game, it's basically like playing through the whole Evil Dead trilogy. Just about everything that happens in the movies you have to play through. (Even when you think the game is about to end, you go back in time like in AOD) The game has a perfect sense of eeriness to it and also throws in Bruce Campbell's signature humor. It is one of the few games that held my attention all the way through until I beat it. (Of course I am a huge Evil Dead fan though!) I own this for the Dreamcast and have always found that the games that were released on Dreamcast as well as Playstation 2 always played and controlled in a much cleaner fashion on the Dreamcast. Simply put, if you are a fan of Evil Dead, Bruce Campbell and horror games, you will enjoy this game!
