This little often overlooked piece by the brilliant young Icelandic director Gunnar B. Gudmundsson should be a must for all serious movie fans, in this funny and insightful short movie, Gunnar lets us watch some fateful moments in the life of a young man who is desperate to give up smoking, almost everything about this movie is perfect and I still don't understand why it didn't collect all the major awards at the worlds short film festivals. The only blemish I can find on this movie is that I would have liked to see young Gunnars favorite actor star in this film instead of local celebrity Hilmir Snaer Gudnason. But Hilmir does excellent job on this movie which started his movie career.... But all in all a perfect little masterpiece

...between stupidity and genius. This film rides it rather uneavenly. This is mostly silent, i.e no dialogue but the actor gives a good performans as a man trying to cope with quitting smoking. It's well made and shot, the story is pretty straight forward and not so original and unfortunatly it falls into the trap that many short films get caught in regarding the ending. I expect great things from Director Gunnar B in the future.
