Moment later lal is breaking her neck which I thought I'll never see lal do as an actor. Since all I've seen him play as a hero

Manjil Virinja Pookkal is a date yet solid film. Watched it for Mohanlal and he didnt disappoint as expected. The lead actor and actress gave some Solid perfomance. The side cast also did their job well.

Fazil's Direction was good for a debut,that too with the limited budget and tech available. Overall a well put together film with some bold choices in Plot. And Mohanlal.. What a Phenom. Natural flow of acting while being dramatic enough for the time. To think he was only 20 years old while performing a ruthless antagonist to such effectiveness!

This is a Malayalam language film starring Shankar and Mohanlal. The film is celebrated as being Mohanlal's first mass release. He then went on becoming Malayalam film industry's most versatile and popular superstar till date. This film ironically also stands out as he plays a villain in his debut film!

The film story has nothing great to speak of. A jilted, sadist ex husband seeks revenge at any cost. Hence the villain's character had to be played with conviction which Mohanlal does. Shankar also plays his role well, first as the romantic, then as heartbroken and later full of rage. Due credit to him too.

An average watch but for the lead performances.
