    A Pleasant Surprise

I agree with other people, this movie is different from other Romantic Comedies. The story's about two boy-girl friends developing their relationship and eventually fall in love with each other. James wants to be a cook in CIA, and Sarah wants to marry Mr.Right.

The characters are realistic - and James' mother is somewhat funny. I don't know why I like this movie so much, but "Snow Days" was so charming and funny. James's speech at Sarah's engagement party was very sweet. Don't expect another "Pretty Woman" or "The Wedding Planner" for this movie.

A fresh, fun, sweet film. GO SEE IT!

Snow Days is a funny, smart, sweet romantic comedy. All the actors excel -- Kip Marcus, Alice Dylan, and of course Ms. Bernadette Peters (who's still stunning 20 years after The Jerk), not to mention the many supporting faces. The script is charming; the directing is top notch. Great use of locations. New York hasn't looked this great since Woody Allen. The Marcus Brothers (Adam and Kipp)have made a fine film. Great work.

    Formula mistiming between potential mates

Yep, this is a formula movie. So, we will not compare it for the originality of which it has none. The actors go through the motions and make faces that could work for silent movies. The title is unique. I guess as the only time they can get together is on a snow day. This makes for a frosty relationship at best.

The story is about two people; James Ellis is played by Kipp Marcus and Sarah Milson is played by Alice Dyla. Kipp has a flat head and James has a curse. Bernadette Peters does a great job of playing the mother of James Ellis. James and Sarah have different agendas and never seen to get together an opportune time. Never a happy moment movie.

Will the curse ever be broken?

    huge surprise

You never know what to expect from unknown low budget movies with unknown actors. Sometimes huge surprises can appear when you're least expected. And sometimes you can discover talented actors and directors in such movies. That happened with Snow Days. I am not a fan of romantic comedies, i have never been, but there has been something with this one that makes me say Snow Days is one of the best romantic comedies ever. And if it would've had a better budget and publicity or if it would've been shown in theaters all across the world, the movie would've been a huge hit.

What's so different about this one? Well definitely not the story, classic and predictable. But what then? Well first the characters. Better built, more realistic and believeble. Then the way it is directed, the way the story is told, and especially the way it is edited (one of the best edited movies i've seen lately). Also the actors, especially the girl about whom i heard it's her first role in a film.

Good work everybody, I'm convinced y'all will become famous one day. Cause you got everything needed to do that.

    Vote: 7.5 out of 10.

    Instantly Endearing

This movie is the perfect example of what any romantic comedy today should possess. The first thing I look for in such a film is a character I can connect with, relate to, or fall in love with. I did all three with the main couple in this film. Kipp Marcus as James did a wonderful job creating a guy I could sympathize with, and see his point of view at the same time. I wanted so badly for him to get the girl, that when he reached his pathetic moments, I found myself saying, "Well, he's in love - I don't blame him." He grabbed me instantly, and his moments with Alice Dylan (Sarah) on-screen were great also. I think she did a great job and they had great chemistry together. Few romantic comedies can actually make me laugh; I've grown not even to expect laughs. This movie has disproved my theory that most romantic comedies are just dramas with some jokes thrown in for kicks. I actually found it hilarious; the energy Marcus put into playing his role, his facial expressions, body language - I was almost constantly smiling. Bernadette Peters was also a treat; she's been one of my favorites since The Jerk so I was glad to see her face again. I would have liked to see more interaction between James and his friend Mitch, just so I could fully appreciate their friendship. Overall, I'd give this movie a 9 out of 10, and I'd watch it again. Great job!
