Production is set to start in April on a new film that will feature two Star Warsfranchise veterans in starring roles. Per Deadline,Daisy Ridley and Alden Ehrenreich will star in The Last Resort, directed by Donald Petrie and written by Karen McCullah.

Ridley is widely known for her portrayal of Rey in the Star Wars sequels, Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015), Star Wars: Episode VIII - The Last Jedi (2017), and Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (2019). Ehrenreich played a young Han Solo in 2018’s Solo: A Star Wars Story, which was directed by Ron Howard.

Village Roadshow has officially filed for bankruptcy. Village Roadshow Entertainment Group is a production company whose film division, Village Roadshow Pictures, was founded in 1989. The Australian media company Village Roadshow also holds a 3% stake in the company. The American producer's first ever film was The Delinquents, a 1989 release that was distributed by Warner Bros. Since then, the company has gone on to produce major films including The Matrix, Miss Congeniality, Zoolander, Ocean's Eleven, Happy Feet, Joker, and more recently, Wonka.

Per Variety, Village Roadshow has now filed for bankruptcy. The company officially filed for Company 11 in Delaware on Monday, March 17. Court documents cite $223.8 million in asset-backed secured notes and $163.1 million in senior secured debt. The Last Resort, a new romantic comedy from the director of How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, has found its leads in Star Wars alumni. Released in 2003, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days was directed by Donald Petrie and stars Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey in lead roles. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the rom-com was a box office success that made over $177 million on a $50 million budget. Petrie has also directed hit rom-coms such as 1988's Mystic Pizza starring Julia Roberts and 2000's Miss Congeniality starring Sandra Bullock.

The Karen McCullah penned script follows Brooke (Ridley), who is determined to prove herself worthy of running her father’s hotel empire. She travels to the Philippines to scout a new resort location. There, she meets Ben (Ehrenreich), a charming expatriate pilot who helps her discover the beauty of the country—and a newfound sense of freedom. As love and duty collide, Brooke must choose between the life she’s built and the one she’s only just begun to love. Petrie has directed such rom com hits as Miss Congeniality and How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days.

Tobias was first referenced in the December 20, 2023 episode, wherein Aiden (then played by Enzo De Angelis), came out to his mother, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), for the first time as they prepared a Christmas meal together and Aiden reveled in his passion for culinary arts.

In Tuesday’s episode, which sees Port Charles celebrating Valentine’s Day, Aiden (Colin Cassidy) introduces Tobias to his parents as the young couple prepare to go skating together.

If you have followed me for any length of time, you probably have seen me pop off at some point on my socials about how there needs to be more romance in a galaxy far, far away. I don't mean in the books and comics, which are filled with those good fuzzies feelings. Heck, The High Republic had an entire wedding spectacular! I mean on screen. We haven't had a great romance in Star Wars since Anakin and Padme (which ends in tragedy), Han and Leia (also separation and death), and Rey and Ben Solo (so much death). We certainly haven't had a queer romance since Steve Blum openly shipping Agent Kallus and Zeb as boyfriends or Disney actively trying to bury its first on-screen gay couple with Orka and Flix.

Richie Rich is sitting in the eighth spot at the time of writing, while other titles on the list include The Menu, Back in Action, and How to Train Your Dragon 2.

Directed by Donald Petrie, Richie Rich is based on the comic book character of the 1950s. Reality TV enthusiasts are in for a treat. Netflix is putting a strong focus on this genre with the return of Love Is Blind for its eighth season, along with the debut of Celebrity Bear Hunt, a fresh competition-based reality show. For those who prefer a gripping thriller, Netflix will drop Apple Cider Vinegar, a new series premiering on February 6 that’s worth keeping an eye on.

In other big news, the highly popular series Cobra Kai will release its final batch of five episodes this month, marking the end of the TV series. While it’s bittersweet for fans, this isn’t the last we’ll see of Daniel Larusso, as he’s set to appear in an upcoming Karate Kid movie hitting theaters later this year.

Beyond these highlights, Netflix is also adding plenty of films and shows to its catalog.
