Actor Pankaj Dheer says that it often happens with the actors in the industry that they are typecast and asked to do similar kinds of roles.
Pankaj, who has also worked in Hindi cinema such as ‘Sadak’, ‘Soldier’ and ‘Baadshah’, finds it upsetting to get pigeonholed but is willing to do his job and give his everything to the character.
“It’s sad that we often get typecast on doing a particular character and end up getting the same roles but as an actor I’m willing to do my job and give whatever my character demands,” said the father of actor Nikitin Dheer.
The 62-year-old actor also spoke about his new show ‘Ajooni’, which also stars Shoaib Ibrahim and Ayushi Khurana.
“So, whether it’s negative or positive, I’m happy to be working on a good script. And that’s what ‘Ajooni’ offered me: a strong character and a good script.

In his debut feature “Ohong Village”, director “Luke” Lim Lung Yin aims to give a voice to the voiceless by portraying a milieu of a remote fishing village in the times where the nature and the economy are about to ruin its prospects. From a description like this, it sounds a bit like a bog standard “social issues” type of festival cinema, but it is more unusual and meditative than that. Nevertheless, the film should have a healthy festival exposure after the premiere at Jeonju and official selection at Taipei. However, we obtained it through our Submit Your Film initiative.
“Ohong Village” is Screening at Five Flavours Asian Film Festival
The film opens with two friends, Sheng (Lin Yu Hsu) and Kun (Chen Hsin Tai) on a motor-powered raft, approaching the beach where the abandoned Buddha statue is surrounded by trash. Sheng poses as a successful man, coming back from...

Yet another monstrously huge blockbuster may be heading straight to streaming. It has come to light that Godzilla Vs Kong is being eyed as a streaming release. The question is, where will the King of the Monsters duke it out with King Kong? Currently, it is between Netflix and HBO Max. Either way, it seems likely that movie lovers will be able to watch the two legendary beasts square off from the comfort of home sometime next year.
According to a new report, Netflix offered somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 million for the streaming rights to Godzilla vs. Kong, which is a co-production between WarnerMedia and Legendary. This was probably appealing since Netflix isn't available in China. That means the studio could still do a theatrical release in the country which would bring in some box office on top of the hefty cash sum. Previous MonsterVerse entries have performed well financially in China.

After years spent on the shelf gathering dust, The New Mutants was finally released into theaters in August, a full 28 months after it was initially scheduled to hit the big screen. And given the X-Men spinoff’s tortured production that involved extensive reshoots and countless delays, it was almost fitting that it was sent out in the middle of a pandemic when most people were keeping a wide berth from their local multiplex.
Reviews weren’t particularly kind, with some labeling it the worst entry in the entire mutant franchise, and it finished up with a box office haul of just over $45 million. However, because of the year we’re having, that’s still good enough to make The New Mutants the fifteenth highest-grossing title of 2020 so far. To put things into perspective, the fifteenth biggest hit of 2019 was Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, which raked in $491 million.

The first trailer for Regina King’s directorial debut and Oscar hopeful, “One Night in Miami,” has released its first trailer.
Taking place in Miami, Fla., on Feb. 25, 1964, the film is a fictional account of an evening with iconic Black figures Muhammad Ali (Eli Goree), Jim Brown (Aldis Hodge), Sam Cooke and Malcolm X (Kingsley Ben-Adir), as they gather to discuss civil rights and the cultural upheaval of the 1960s. Inspired by true events, the quartet of historical characters celebrate Ali’s latest boxing victory as the heavyweight champion of the world and discuss the civil rights movement led by Malcolm X at the time.
King’s historical drama debuted at the Venice Film Festival earlier this year, the first feature by a Black woman to ever premiere in the fest’s 77-year history. Amazon Studios bought the worldwide rights to “One Night in Miami” after a very competitive bidding war between multiple studios.

“I’ll stand one day before the Queen, not kneel, mind you, but stand like an equal, and she’ll say ‘I’d like you to accept the Order of the Garter as a mark of my esteem, cousin,’” Sean Connery’s ex-British soldier Daniel Dravot proclaims in the 1975 period adventure film, The Man Who Would Be King. And with those words, and the epic death scene which followed, Connery completed the saga of a long-germinating work from one of Hollywood’s most celebrated directors. John Huston was Hollywood royalty. His father, Walter, was an acting icon, and his offspring have all gone on to distinguish themselves as part of the Huston Dynasty.

In news that feels both inevitable and completely out-of-the-blue, Disney has tasked Oscar-winning Moonlight and If Beale Street Could Talk filmmaker Barry Jenkins to direct a follow-up to last year’s lavish Lion King remake (according to Deadline). He will be taking over directorial duties from Jon Favreau, who seemingly has his hands full with his Star Wars series The Mandalorian on Disney+ and other endeavors in a galaxy far, far away. According to the report Jeff Nathanson, who wrote last year’s update (which was more or less a photocopy of the beloved 1994 …...

The Lion King may have suffered from lukewarm reviews – to put it lightly – but the critical reception did nothing to harm the film’s box office takings, with Disney’s remake of the beloved classic reaching the billion-dollar mark in under three weeks. Of course, it ultimately went on to haul in a whopping $1.65 billion, ensuring that a sequel would soon be announced.
In fact, We Got This Covered told you last year that the studio was looking into doing another one and now, Deadline has confirmed our previous report, with the outlet revealing today that The Lion King 2 is officially in the works. The only thing is, Jon Favreau won’t be returning to direct. Which could be a good or a bad thing depending on how you felt about the first film.

I found Black Is King to be a gobsmacking visual sensation. The Beyoncé Disney+ visual album reimagining of The Lion King (far superior to the actual live-action Lion King remake) was stuffed with inventive visuals, lensed and constructed with immaculate opulence and intention. Before Hollywood decided to adapt the property into a number of movies, Stephen King’s It was known mostly as a miniseries from the 1990s. Starring Tim Curry as an admirable and perhaps even scarier version of Pennywise the Dancing Clown, this iteration terrorized the minds of millions of kids who grew up with it.
Much of the fear factor came from Tommy Lee Wallace’s stellar directing. Much of this is due to his most famous creation, Night of the Living Dead, which singlehandedly spawned the zombie genre and thus inspired the AMC hit series The Walking Dead, among many others. However, Romero’s influence goes...

HBO’s “Watchmen” came out on top of the 2020 Emmy nominations with a whopping 26 bids, more than any other program that aired within the 2019-20 eligibility period. Gold Derby now predicts it will dominate the Emmys, winning five above-the-line races: Best Limited Series, Actress (Regina King), Supporting Actress (Jean Smart), Writing (“This Extraordinary Being”) and Directing (“This Extraordinary Being”). If true, it would be a rare feat indeed considering this timely program about mask-wearing and social injustice was completely skunked at the Golden Globes. Billy Goldenberg, the Emmy-winning composer and songwriter, died Monday night at his home in New York City. He was 84.
Goldenberg wrote the themes for such 1970s TV series as “Kojak,” “Harry O” and “Rhoda,” composed the pilot scores for “Night Gallery” and “Columbo,” and won Emmys for the TV-movie “Queen of the Stardust Ballroom” and miniseries “The Lives of Benjamin Franklin,” “King” and “Rage of Angels.”
He expanded his 1975 “Queen of the Stardust Ballroom” song score, with lyricists Marilyn and Alan Bergman, into the score of the 1978 Broadway musical “Ballroom,” directed and choreographed by Michael Bennett of “A Chorus Line” fame. It earned eight Tony nominations including Best Musical.

His brother, the writer Denis Hamill, told The New York Times that Hamill fell at home on Saturday after returning from a dialysis treatment. He was taken to Brooklyn’s Methodist Hospital were he died apparently from kidney and heart failure.
Hamill began his newspaper career at the Post in 1960. Over the next decades he would write for the Daily News, Newsday, The Village Voice, The Saturday Evening Post, Esquire, Playboy, Rolling Stone and many other publications.
