This series of S Club 7 is so wonderful. The music is great, the characters are great and the plot lines are funny. This isn't your average teenie bopper band. There is something about S Club 7 that is so much different, it keeps me attached! I recommend this show to anyone, boys or girls, and of any age!
It's not fair to criticize this programme for being what it sets out to be. It's a Monkees-style romp through scrapes in America with a charming and attractive bunch of singers, who (unlike The Monkees) at least don't pretend to play instruments! The music is good too. If you don't like it, you're too old! Dave Farmbrough (Age 34!)
I recall watching this in the afternoons after school growing up. Haven't seen it in years but recall this being a charming show with a pop group obviously generated by music moguls. Groups like this were really popular at the time. Cute humor and I was always a fan of their music. The kind of show you shouldn't watch if you are looking for award winning entertainment. Just watch it for fun.
Oh yeah, like this world needs another group of pretty-faced
teeny boppers who sing and dance so much they can put the entire
cast of "Rent" to shame. Here, we have a band of teens from
merry old England touring Miami, constantly running around the
beaches and mingle during the day, when at night they perform
their bad love songs. Well, that's about it for the lame,
formulaic plots!
The S Club 7 consists of 4 chicks and 3 guys. The dudes of the
club are just mediocre additions to the band, since it's mostly
the girls who do the singing and real performing! I have to say
Rachael and Jo are the hottest of the girls, but just like the
rest of the band, they can't sing or act!! I guess they can
blame their incapablities to be or singers thespians on their
annoyingly thick British accents. Sometimes they're so damn
incoherent that you can't understand a word they're saying! Now,
I am not making fun of their foreign traits. Roger Moore and
Cary Elwes are both English, but at least their accents aren't
extremely thick. That's why they made such good actors. As for
the S Club 7, guys, you gotta work on your performance pieces!
