The story of Pikachu's rescue adveture is simple, but fun and heartwarming with a message of friendship, as usual seen in Pokémon's stories, the soundtrack is cheerful and the animation is more beautiful and detailed than ever. The craftsmanship shows and you can see the pokémons living happily with each other in their natural habitat, colored in various painting techniques, as watercolor. This mini movie takes me back to my childhood and is a cute way to iniciate the experience of watching the main storyline of the long movie (The power of one) that has a more serious context. Very very nice.
Plot-wise this was an improvement on the earlier film. There's still no subtitles but there are no distractions. It keeps going. The Pokemon are as cute as ever and I enjoyed watching. 9/10
