    The Lord of the Jungle

"The Jungle Book" from 1994 is one of the brightest and most beautiful games of its time. The graphics here are impressive: the jungle is drawn with detailed textures and rich colors, which adds to each level a sense of real tropical nature. The animations of the characters, especially Mowgli, are smooth and lively, which makes the game visually appealing even years later.

The physics in the game is also on top. Mowgli moves with a good sense of weight, jumping and sliding feel natural, and grabbing vines and moving along them give dynamism, adding immersion in what is happening. This is especially noticeable on more difficult levels, where you have to take into account the laws of physics to avoid enemies and traps.

Each level here is unique and has its own style and challenges. The gameplay is fueled by new obstacles and challenges, whether it's jumping over moving platforms or dodging dangerous animals. The game is interesting from start to finish, constantly throws up new challenges.

To fight the villain in the final level, you need to collect crystals that are scattered throughout the location map. Sometimes you have to seriously try to find every crystal. Trains children's memory "with a bang". The levels are replete with various utilities. You can collect throwing weapons, invulnerability, lives, and even a shovel. The latter allows you to get to the bonus level after the level and collect various useful items in the allotted time, ranging from weapons to lives.

The bosses in "The Jungle Book" are a separate delight. Each of them is unique and offers its own challenges, whether it's the treacherous python Kaa or the formidable tiger Sherkhan. These fights require not only a good reaction, but also a strategy, which makes the passage of the game truly memorable.

I remember especially well one of the last levels, which was blocked on my cartridge. The fact is that the whole level is jumping from platform to platform, and after landing on each of them, after a few seconds the platform fell, which made you jump and jump without stopping. And the glitch was in the picture. It was moving apart, the textures became blurred horizontally and it was unclear where you were jumping from and where you were landing. To pass this level with such "hardcore", it took a lot of time and training, and even more nervous children's cells. But in the end, I won. And the next level was normal again. I heard the opinion that it was not a glitch, but what kind of protection against piracy and thus it was possible to understand that the cartridge was pirated. Here's a digression.

In general, to summarize, "The Jungle Book" is a very cool game for "Dendy". Good realistic physics that requires a special approach to the game, bright graphics, a decent soundtrack and, in fact, a kind of full-fledged plot - all this is wrapped up in a nice game that was very addictive at the time.

    10 out of 10.
