Based on an obscure novel by George Sand

....this saga was a big success on French TV in the seventies . The plot focuses on a love triangle : a handsome greybeard (George Marchal) ,a young pretty boy (Michel Albertini) and a gorgeous woman (Yolande Foliot)who cannot make up her mind. She asks her old suitor for seven years but she meets the younger man and falls for him too.

This is an eventful yarn, involving many subplots ,it is par excellence the perfect swashbuckler ,which after being popular in the first part of the sixties in the French theaters became mini-series in the seventies.
