      A funny movie!

I wish Japanese moviemakers would make more comedies like this one instead of following the latest trend (horror or special effects or whatever is current). I can't add much more than the other positive reviews except to say the main actress really shines in the role of the heroine. The scene in the elevator is hilarious!

      recommended!

This is a delightful film. The story's a little too good to be true, but if you overlook the product placement, take the scene in Shinjuku Station as a novelty, and can stomach the sickly sweet story, then it's well worth a watch! There isn't really any way you can watch this film and not be left with a smile on your face. It's so typical of Japanese humour, with it's stereotypical characters and slapstick action. And what can I say, I love Kusanagi Tsuyoshi.

It's nice when a movie can bring a smile to your face.

This is an absolutely delightful film. Throw a cute young lady from the glamorous world of high-fashion into the sweaty world of bicycle messengers, then add a pleasant blend of humor and action and a rivalry with motorcycle messengers, and this movie will bring a smile to your face. Her first day on the job is hilarious, and I even enjoyed the music video at the end of the film. (This review is in regard to the vcd version with English subtitles.) A truly perfect movie and another gem from Fuji TV.

      Perfect movie

This is the best movie I've seen this year, and it will probably go down as one of my all time favourite movies. Why? Uh...Hard to say. I think Messenger is just put together perfectly, from the story to the cast to the cinematography to the score. Every piece fits. And Naoko Iijima rules!

      unique movie with good advice...

imagine yourself as a successful business woman. imagine yourself having everything. imagine yourself having a perfect life. then imagine you lose everything because you're bankrupt. after that, imagine how you manage to stand again after you've fall... this is a movie about how to deal with the 'down-side of your life' and how to make it 'up' again. as a bicycle messenger, naomi learn a good advice about living in a real world : never give up.she done well because she manage to choose hard-life-with-fun-work-though-less-money than easy-life-with-fun-work-and-much-money. nice movie, nice message.
